Broadcaster Yoo Min-sang paid tribute to the late Lee Hee-cheol, who suddenly passed away.
On the 8th, during the SBS Love FM show "Yoo Min-sang's Hungry Radio," Yoo Min-sang opened up by saying, "There was very sad news this morning. The broadcaster Lee Hee-cheol, who had been on 'Hungry Radio' for a long time, has unfortunately passed away."
Lee Hee-cheol, who was a regular panelist on the show's main segment "Let's Eat Together" until July of last year, passed away at the age of 40 on the 7th. The cause of death is reported to be a myocardial infarction.
Yoo Min-sang reminisced, "Hee-cheol always had a bright smile and a kind tone. He really loved being on his first fixed radio segment," and expressed his sorrow, saying, "Today, I really miss Hee-cheol's face, especially since we did the 'Let's Eat Together' segment together."
Lee Hee-cheol, who was originally a photographer, operated a famous wine bar called Seoul Salon in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. He gained recognition after appearing on KBS2's "The Men Who Cook" Season 2 last year and also ran a YouTube channel. He also worked as the visual director for the girl group CLASSY.
The late Lee Hee-cheol's funeral is being held at the Soonchunhyang University Hospital funeral hall in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The funeral will be held at 5 AM on the 10th, and the burial site is at Suwon City Crematorium.
