Actor Shin Hyun-joon received the Excellence Award for Long-Form Drama at the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’.
After receiving the Excellence Award for Long-Form Drama at the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’ broadcast on the 11th, Shin Hyun-joon said, “The reason I came with my baby is that I didn’t expect any awards, so I am grateful. I thank God for always being with me in my life. I was happy to shoot with great staff and actors. We started filming in the hot summer and are now filming in the cold. Nevertheless, I love the staff who are doing their best in their respective positions. It’s really wonderful, beautiful, and I am grateful. It was truly a happy moment to meet briefly amidst our busy schedules to talk about the work and characters and acting.”
He continued, “I am grateful for the supplements and cosmetics that have been with me during tough or tiring times,” jokingly adding, “I am very thankful for my mother and wife who pray for me.”
Shin Hyun-joon also said, “While filming ‘The Iron Family,’ my beloved mother Kim Soo-mi passed away. It was very difficult, but many people comforted me. Although time has passed since my mother left, I feel that many people miss and love her. I hope my mother is not lonely in heaven and that she always smiles as I miss her smile.” He paid tribute to the late Kim Soo-mi, who passed away last year.
Finally, he added, “I will pray that all children can dream safely and happily in a country where they can do so.”
The ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards,’ hosted by broadcaster Jang Seong-kyu and actors Seo Hyun and Moon Sang-min, was scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31 last year but was canceled due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster. The awards ceremony was conducted as a recording at that time.
Nominees for the Grand Prize included Lee Soon-jae from the drama ‘Barking Dog,’ Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang from ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from ‘The Iron Family,’ and Kim Ha-neul from ‘Let’s Grab the Collar Once.’
