Actors Park Ji-young and Lim Soo-hyang received the Best Actress Award at the '2024 KBS Acting Awards'.
Park Ji-young from 'Iron Family' expressed her gratitude after receiving the Best Actress Award during the broadcast of the '2024 KBS Acting Awards' on the 11th, saying, "Thank you to writer Seo Suk-hyang for giving me a challenging character. I love and respect my seniors Kim Young-ok and Park In-hwan. I love and respect Teacher Lee Soon-jae. I hope you continue to act with us for a long time." She added, "December has been a tough month. My heart is heavy and in pain. I hope that in 2025, we can work hard on new stories and spend the end of the year smiling."
Lim Soo-hyang from 'Beauty and the Beast' shared, "Hearing that supporting actors dream of regularly appearing on KBS made me think a lot. I have dreamed of being an actor since I was 14. I have always prayed and longed to stand here. I had not realized how precious this was until now. I have always dreamed of standing alongside Teacher Lee Soon-jae and Kim Yong-gun and receiving the Best Actress Award, but everything feels surreal. I am so grateful. Thank you for allowing me to act. I will become an actor who performs with more sincerity. I will be an actor who can bring comfort and hope."
The '2024 KBS Acting Awards', hosted by broadcaster Jang Seong-kyu and actors Seo Hyun and Moon Sang-min, was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31 last year but was canceled due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster. The awards ceremony was recorded instead.
Nominees for the Grand Prize included Lee Soon-jae from the drama 'Dog Bark', Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang from 'Beauty and the Beast', Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from 'Iron Family', and Kim Ha-neul from 'Let's Grab the Collar'.
