A touching woman-to-woman moment between Jeon So-min and Gong Min-jung has been captured.
On the 16th, the production team of KBS Joy's drama ‘Today, I Apologize’ (directed by Min Ji-young, written by Jo Yu-jin and Choi Ryong) released on-set photos of Jeon So-min (playing Ji-song) warmly comforting Gong Min-jung (playing Choi Ha-na) who is in tears.
In the drama, Jeon So-min and Gong Min-jung portray a pair of friends who have grown distant due to a minor misunderstanding, only to reunite in the new town of Cheonpo and build a new friendship as a disguised married woman Ji-song and a multi-child working mom Choi Ha-na.
The released photos capture a warm moment where Ji-song embraces her best friend Ha-na's sadness, tugging at the heartstrings of viewers.
Ha-na, who was sitting helplessly on a swing in the apartment playground at midnight, bursts into tears upon seeing Ji-song, who then offers a powerful comfort through a hug, fully accepting her friend's pain.
As Ji-song wraps her arms around Ha-na with a serious yet warm expression, trying to share in her friend's sorrow, Ha-na's tears reveal deep sadness and despair, leaving viewers curious about what could have happened.
The production team stated, “This scene reveals the hidden wounds and pain of super working mom Choi Ha-na, who lives in a desirable new town apartment and perfectly manages work and raising twins,” adding, “Sharing in the sadness will serve as an opportunity for Ji-song and Ha-na's friendship to become even stronger and deeper.”
Episode 6 of ‘Today, I Apologize’ will air on the 16th at 9 PM on KBS Joy.
