In the episode of ‘The Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’, guest Lee Bong-won shares behind-the-scenes stories of his ‘6th attempt, 7th failure’ in business while enjoying the ‘original’ food of Chungcheongnam-do.

In the 13th episode of the full-fledged real street food documentary ‘The Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’ (co-produced by MBN and Channel S), Lee Bong-won, who runs a jjamppong restaurant in Cheonan, goes on a ‘food trip’ with ‘food bros’ Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin).

On that day, Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube greet Lee Bong-won warmly at his jjamppong restaurant. At this moment, Kwak Tube asks, “Why are you running a restaurant in Chungcheong-do?” and Lee Bong-won replies, “If it fails in the countryside, the damage is less severe~,” humorously turning the atmosphere upside down. The three then leave the jjamppong restaurant and head to the original walnut pastry shop in Cheonan, which has a tradition of 88 years. Here, they pick up walnut pastries with a special bet and enjoy them while chatting in the car on their way to the next destination. Jeon Hyun-moo slyly asks, “When you said you were opening a jjamppong restaurant, didn’t your sister-in-law (Park Mi-sun) oppose it?” to which Lee Bong-won gives a surprisingly cool response.

As curiosity builds about Lee Bong-won’s answer, he candidly shares about his past business attempts, saying, “While others say 7 attempts and 8 failures, I say 6 attempts and 7 failures. I started with a karaoke business before marriage, and it failed right away.” He then lists his second to fourth business attempts and adds, “My fifth business in life was in entertainment. At that time, I signed a (exclusive) contract with Kim Gu-ra…” revealing unexpected behind-the-scenes stories that elicit laughter.

In a warm atmosphere, the three arrive at the original ‘Kim Pi-tang’ (Kimchi + Pizza + Sweet and Sour Pork) restaurant, known as the soul food of Gongju. However, Lee Bong-won tilts his head and asks, “What is Kim Pi?” while Jeon Hyun-moo is surprised by the ‘MZ food’ he sees for the first time. The restaurant owner then reveals, “Actually, this Kim Pi-tang is trademarked,” indicating that it is a ‘genuine’ original restaurant. Immediately after, the three engage in a Kim Pi-tang eating show, and while they are enjoying their meal, Kwak Tube expresses curiosity about Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun’s love story. Lee Bong-won starts by saying, “I first met Park Mi-sun when SBS launched,” and shares the special connection he has with his wife.

As curiosity grows about how Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun first met and their marriage process, viewers can check out the food trip of the three, who have only found ‘original’ restaurants from Cheonan walnut pastries to Gongju Kim Pi-tang, in the 13th episode of MBN·Channel S’s ‘The Jeon Hyun-moo Plan’ airing on Friday, the 17th, at 9:10 PM.
