KBS, which was embroiled in controversy for damaging Byeongsan Seowon, a UNESCO World Heritage site, during a drama shoot, has discarded all footage of the filming.
According to KBS on the 15th, all filming scenes at Byeongsan Seowon for the drama ‘I Took the Male Lead's First Night’ will be discarded. They also plan to issue an apology through a broadcast.
Previously, it was revealed that the filming team for ‘I Took the Male Lead's First Night’ had hammered nails while shooting at Byeongsan Seowon in Andong, Gyeongbuk, which sparked controversy. The city of Andong expressed regret to KBS and requested the disposal of the footage.
KBS stated, “We sincerely apologize for causing concern to our viewers due to this incident,” and added, “Regardless of the reasons, KBS acknowledges the seriousness of the situation that occurred on set and is truly sorry.”
The drama ‘I Took the Male Lead's First Night,’ featuring actors Seo Hyun and Ok Joo-hyun, is a romance fantasy where the soul of an ordinary female college student inhabits a character in a romance novel, leading to a no-brakes, off-course romance with the novel's most obsessive male lead over the course of one night.
