‘Please take care of the Eagle Brothers!’ has released a comprehensive teaser video that hints at Um Ji-won's tumultuous life story.
KBS2's new weekend drama ‘Please take care of the Eagle Brothers!’ (directed by Choi Sang-yeol, written by Koo Hyeon-sook) depicts the well-ripened family story created by the five unique brothers of the long-established Eagle Liquor House and the eldest sister-in-law who suddenly becomes the head of the family after her husband’s unexpected death just ten days after their wedding.
The released comprehensive teaser video begins with a happy scene of Ma Gwang-sook (played by Um Ji-won) in a wedding dress, showcasing her dazzling appearance. However, Gwang-sook's mother, Gong Ju-sil (played by Park Jun-geum), expresses her anger, saying, “My daughter, Ma Gwang-sook, is going to become a ghost in this house,” raising curiosity about the contrasting attitudes of the two characters.
Gwang-sook, who dreamed of a happy married life, faces a great trial when her husband, Oh Jang-soo (played by Lee Pil-mo), gets into a traffic accident just ten days after their marriage. Her heartfelt words, “It was a short time, but he was the best husband for me,” convey her deep affection for Jang-soo as she bids him farewell.
Gwang-sook decides to leave her job at the post office and boldly declares her intention to take over the Eagle Liquor House. She says, “Let’s just be siblings without the ‘in-law’ title. Okay?” and takes on the role of the strong head of the family, sparking curiosity about her entry into the liquor business. Moreover, when creditors come rushing in, Gwang-sook steps forward in front of the troubled Oh Beom-soo (played by Yoon Park) and confidently states, “I’ll give you that money!” taking on the worries and concerns of her brothers-in-law, providing a refreshing moment for viewers.
Han Dong-seok (played by Ahn Jae-wook) catches the swaying Gwang-sook, revealing an unusual connection between them. In particular, the scene where he sees her sprawled out on the lawn in a drunken state and comments, “You’re really something,” hints at the initially tangled relationship between the two, raising expectations for their delightful bickering chemistry.
‘Please take care of the Eagle Brothers!’ is expected to deliver both laughter and emotion to viewers with the exciting story of Gwang-sook, who loses her husband shortly after marriage, and her brothers-in-law, each with their own unique stories, as well as the contrasting personalities of Gwang-sook and Dong-seok.
‘Please take care of the Eagle Brothers!’ will premiere on February 1 at 8 PM as a follow-up to ‘Iron Family’.
