Rapper Jijo suggested to his parents to write a contract upon hearing about his first appearance fee.

On the afternoon of the 18th, rapper Jijo and actor Shin Jeong-yoon appeared on the MBC Every1 and MBN entertainment program ‘I’m grown up but I’m not going out’.

On that day’s broadcast, Jeong-yoon’s mother prepared a health juice and comforted him, saying, “Have a glass of juice and hurry up.” Gathering his courage, Jeong-yoon tasted the juice and exclaimed, “Correct! Tomato, beet,” but his mother corrected him, saying, “It’s carrot and beet. Today’s breakfast menu is toast.”

His younger sister, Shin Ga-yoon, joined for breakfast, and when Jeong-yoon brought out sesame oil, sriracha, spicy chicken sauce, and mayonnaise, his sister was taken aback, saying, “That’s impressive.” Watching this, their mother frowned and said, “If you’re going to eat like this anyway, let’s just buy regular bread instead of whole wheat. It’s spicy and salty, and it’s not good for your health. I just want to take it away from you.”

Then Jeong-yoon asked, “Isn’t there more of mom’s juice? In the fridge?” and upon hearing this, his mother happily rushed to open the fridge door. However, it was a trick. Jeong-yoon poured spicy chicken sauce on his mother’s toast, and unaware, she took a bite of the bread.

Then she exclaimed, “Ah... I want to spit it out. Say ‘ah’! ‘Ah’!” while sticking out the bread from her mouth, and Jeong-yoon showed his childish side, saying, “Isn’t it delicious?”

After the meal, his mother made wallpaper paste herself, saying, “If we leave it on, the mold will die. Today’s plan is to wallpaper your room. I can’t sleep because water is leaking from the ceiling... It might take some time, but I made it with baking soda and vinegar. Making paste is nothing,” encouraging Jeong-yoon. Jeong-yoon replied, “I knew I had to wallpaper, but I wondered why I had to do this... I thought this isn’t right.”

Grumbling, Jeong-yoon started removing the mold and asked, “How far are we going to put the wallpaper?” showing a helpless expression, but he began removing the mold anyway. However, contrary to expectations, his mother’s mold remover was ineffective, and Jeong-yoon sighed, saying, “Why is this the way it is? We could just spray a ready-made product. There’s always a contradiction in what mom says. I’ll figure it out.”

Eventually, Jeong-yoon searched for an eco-friendly remover online and said, “I can’t trust what mom says. I’ll calm down and come back,” before going outside. Returning to the scene of the problem, he moved the furniture and resumed work with his mother’s mold remover, while his mother, unaware, advised him, “Put your eyes in the water and blink.”

Jeong-yoon reacted fiercely, saying, “Mom, you’ve never done chemical warfare, right? I wish you had. Please give me something to put on top.”

His mother pulled out gold wallpaper, saying, “You need gold!” and Jeong-yoon was taken aback, saying, “What is this, the Renaissance era? Honestly, look at it. Does it match?” His mother replied, “I want to wear that as clothes. It’s the best match for our house. When you leave, I’ll use it for the dining room. I’ll put it on all four walls. It’s wallpaper that brings in money,” recommending the shiny wallpaper, and Jeong-yoon was flustered, saying, “You have a plan, huh? Mom, I need some alone time.”

His mother explained in an interview, “My son’s fortune lacks gold. I bought it to balance that with golden colors... because it brings good energy.”

The second “kangaroo” is rapper Jijo. Jijo’s mother, who had just returned from a trip to Japan, proudly responded to his father’s question, “Where did the money come from?” with, “I bought it with my son’s card!”

Hearing this, the panelists exclaimed, “Oh!” and looked at Jijo, who crossed his legs and shrugged. Jijo explained, “The reason I gave my card is that I’m not sure if it counts as filial piety within my abilities, but I wanted you to use it comfortably for travel expenses... I thought you’d spend about 200,000 to 300,000 won, but when I saw the card statement, I rubbed my eyes three times.”

Looking at the card statement, Jijo exclaimed, “Look at this, Dad. How much did you buy this for?” and his mother said, “This kind of thing doesn’t cost much. This is expensive. It’s three months’ worth of natto. Japanese elderly people eat this to live long,” while trying to gauge his reaction. Jijo revealed, “What kind of cheonggukjang... It’s 670,000 won,” and Hong Jin-kyung was shocked, saying, “That’s expensive.”

Jijo reassured, “No, I’m fixed now. I’ve revealed my house, and my mom and dad are out here, so don’t worry,” but then he suddenly added, “But let’s write a contract. We need to decide how to split the appearance fee. I can’t trust my mom and dad.” However, his mother firmly declined, saying, “What contract? Just seeing you do well is enough for me.”

In the end, his father wrote the contract on behalf of the family, allocating 80% to Jijo and 20% to himself and his wife. His father joked, “This is all thanks to you. But the contract is only valid until the end of this year.”

Afterward, Jijo went shopping with his parents and gifted them clothes like thermal underwear, and upon returning home, he decided to cook. He chose to make a truffle potato chip soup for his parents, stating, “Don’t underestimate the cheap stuff. The rich son has no time. I searched for the lowest price and got the best one with fast delivery,” revealing his principles.

After tasting it, his mother and father praised, “The soup is delicious! The potatoes are good.”

‘I’m grown up but I’m not going out’ airs simultaneously on MBC Every1 and MBN at 8:20 PM.
