Familiar faces have returned to Running Man.
The SBS variety show ‘Running Man’ aired its episode titled ‘Sorry for the Team Kill’ on the afternoon of the 19th.
Guests for the day included Choi Daniel, Jeon So-min, Park Hye-jung, and Kim Ha-yoon. In particular, Jeon So-min, who returned after a long time, received a warm welcome from the members and mentioned, “Yesterday, Choi Daniel called me asking if I was going to wear makeup and if I could wear a hat,” showing her care for Choi Daniel, the star of ‘Sorry for Today’.
Yoo Jae-suk explained, “Originally, there were guests who said they would come today, but we had to adjust things quickly, so we ended up having four guests.”
The production team stated, “Today, MC Yoo will be hosting after a long time. The penalty board has the names of all 11 members written on it, and during the race, we will vote for the person we want to receive a penalty. The member whose name is in the balloon popped by the dart thrown by MC Yoo will be penalized. Today’s penalty is a large water bomb,” explaining the rules. Choi Daniel happily exclaimed, “I have pants, but they are in the car! Bring one and wear one!”
Team Jong-kook consists of Seok-jin, Jong-kook, Ji-hyo, Ha-yoon, and Hye-jung, while Ha-ha's team includes Ha-ha, Se-chan, So-min, Choi Daniel, and Ji-yeon.
The first mission location was a gym, and the production team explained, “Each team will have one representative compete in a quiz, and the correct answer will allow them to pull weights. The men need to lift 70kg, and the women need to lift 50kg.”
The first to compete were Jeon So-min and Ha-ha, and Seok-jin and Park Hye-jung. When Yoo Jae-suk asked, “What is the English word for a fried egg cooked on one side only?” Jeon So-min shouted, “Sunny side up!” but dropped the weight, causing Ha-ha to get hit with a whipped cream bomb. Ha-yoon then easily lifted 60kg and answered, “Third side up!” earning a point.
With Team Jong-kook leading 3:0, when asked, “What is the new term that means a face can also be a spec?” Choi Daniel answered, “Correct! Face-spec?” and went on a parade of wrong answers, eventually losing strength and dropping the weight, resulting in Jeon So-min being covered in whipped cream. Choi Daniel shouted “Face-spec” and managed to bring the score to 3:1.
Then Yang Se-chan said, “I’ll team up with Ji-yeon!” to which Jeon So-min responded, “Hey, wait! ‘I’ll team up with Ji-yeon’... This is really ridiculous,” showing her jealousy.
She continued, “I saw on the show that you treat Ji-yeon really well... Do you really like this girl? Do you really like her...” and Yang Se-chan replied, “You should be jealous of something else,” looking bewildered.
When Yang Se-chan and Ji-yeon teamed up, Jeon So-min exclaimed, “Hey... I won’t let this go! Do you love her?” showing her jealousy, while the members tried to calm her down, saying, “This isn’t that kind of game!”
Later, during lunch, while discussing the menu, Choi Daniel was surprised, asking, “What is this? Are we filming right now? Is this a recording?” Jeon So-min told Yang Se-chan, “Actually, he’s a fast 86er,” and Daniel replied, “I’m friends with Yang Se-hyung, Lee Kwang-soo, and Song Joong-ki.”
When Jeon So-min said, “I’m friends too,” Daniel pointed out, “That’s why I said not to meet outside. It’s your fault,” and So-min replied, “Okay, then I’ll just call you oppa today,” trying to settle the situation.
“This mission is about the aesthetics of halves. You need to accurately split several plates in half to succeed. However, you must do it without looking and within 3 seconds, and only the first three can eat. Those who fail will also receive a penalty balloon,” the production team explained, and each team took turns as the members played the plate-splitting game.
The winning team of the mission, Ha-ha, Yang Se-chan, and Choi Daniel, held a lunch party, while the remaining members, Jae-suk, So-min, and Ji-yeon, only got to eat plain rice and pickled radish. When Ji-yeon said, “I won’t eat anything that doesn’t taste good,” Ha-ha said, “Come on, eat some sweet and sour pork,” and Yang Se-chan added, “Dip it in the sauce.” Watching this, So-min exclaimed, “Why only Ji-yeon... Hey, do you love her?” and Ha-ha ignited the situation by saying, “Se-chan loves Ji-yeon,” making So-min furious.
The second mission, a speed bump slide, took place with Yoo Jae-suk and Park Hye-jung as the competing representatives. Hye-jung kicked Yoo Jae-suk’s head and went up, causing the members to burst into laughter, saying, “Well done!” It was a kind of headshot.
As the Jong-kook team won, the time to select the final penalty recipients approached. The final penalty recipients, Ha-ha, Daniel, Se-chan, Ji-hyo, Jong-kook, Ji-yeon, Seok-jin, and So-min, were named, and the eight received a shower of water bombs.
