Singer Han Hye-jin expressed her deep love for her husband.
Han Hye-jin appeared on the KBS1 program 'Morning Yard' on the 22nd in the segment 'Challenge, Dream Stage.'
Ahead of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Snake, a competition among active stars born in the Year of the Snake unfolded, with Han Hye-jin taking the stage first to share her story about her late husband.
Han Hye-jin said, "I have known my husband since we were young, and we communicated well, but above all, he was someone who treated my father well. My father received a terminal diagnosis of three months and managed to hold on for a year before he closed his eyes after telling my husband, 'Please take good care of our daughter.' My husband was a family-oriented person, and he always said he was proud that people found comfort in listening to his songs, so I was grateful," reminiscing about her husband.
She continued, "As my husband's business struggled, his health deteriorated, and I worried about him every time I had to go to a performance in the provinces. After my husband passed away from a heart attack, life felt empty and it was hard to live. I heard that if I dwell on my sadness, I wouldn't go to a good place, so I resolved not to blame myself and to keep living."
Han Hye-jin also said, "Now, I want to let my husband go and wait for the day we meet again. When I leave this world, I hope you will be the first to take me. I will sing for my husband, who will be watching over me from heaven," she said, choking up.
While singing her song 'Brown Memories,' Han Hye-jin conveyed her longing for her late husband and her unexpressed feelings, leaving the audience in deep reflection.
After finishing the performance, Han Hye-jin added, "This is the first time I've sung this song with such feelings. Usually, I try not to think too much on stage, but today I thought differently a lot."
