Singer Shin Sung reveals the story behind his decision to give up on the audition.
In the KBS2 program “Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together,” airing on the 30th, trot stars visit the house to celebrate the national holiday, Seollal.
As soon as they appear, the identity of the person who greets with a cheerful bow is the next-generation trot star Shin Sung and the winner of the audition program “Voice Queen,” Jeong Soo-yeon.
Single mother Jeong Soo-yeon confesses her complicated family history, revealing her premarital pregnancy and divorce shortly after giving birth. She shares her story of having to become strong to take responsibility for her child while overcoming financial difficulties.
Shin Sung also shares that during his long period of obscurity, he fell into despair when his father suffered a stroke, and to make matters worse, he decided to give up on the audition after his mother also suffered a brain hemorrhage just before his final stage.
Along with trot siblings and the lively Shin Gye-sook, they visit the winter crab-catching site. They taste the ‘humpback crab’ just before molting on a fishing boat filled with freshly caught crabs and plan a special meal by sweeping up the discounted crabs with broken legs.
Chef Shin Gye-sook showcases a dazzling fire show while making stir-fried crabs infused with smoky flavor using her wok skills. She leads them into the world of unique cuisine by creating a spicy soup with ribs that have been aged for a month, called ‘Rapaigu.’
A filial piety feast for the Lunar New Year featuring Shin Sung and Jeong Soo-yeon will also take place. With a special stage involving the audience, it will kick off under the guidance of Park Won-sook and Hye-eun.
Shin Sung heats up the atmosphere by going around the audience and shaking hands, while his unique deep voice captivates the hearts of the audience, leading to an encore.
As the atmosphere heats up with the release of Jeong Soo-yeon’s new song, attention is drawn to an unexpected figure holding the microphone. The surprising singing talent of Chef Shin Gye-sook, who had taken over the kitchen, will be revealed.
