Big stars born in 1988 gathered in one place.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, the first broadcast of the MBC entertainment program 'Good Day' (directed by Kim Tae-ho, produced by TEO) featured 88-born stars G-Dragon, Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Soo-hyuk, Jung Hae-in, Im Si-wan, and Kwanghee, who were invited to '88 Country'.
During the broadcast, G-Dragon was asked about the current progress of his song and replied, "Can I encompass generations? I'm thinking about the message I want to convey. I feel like there might be something I don't know," and invited someone who could provide important inspiration before recording.
Upon arriving at the LP bar, GD welcomed actor Hwang Jung-min. GD added intimacy by saying, "I met you before my new song came out, right?" Jung-min replied, "It's been 7 years since I came out, so the fans must be really happy. They must really cherish it. I'm so grateful for even a little activity."
Hwang Jung-min shared, "In February, I will have been sober for a year. I quit smoking among alcohol and cigarettes. But after quitting smoking, I started drinking more. My memory has gotten worse, and I've been making a lot of small mistakes, so I thought I should give myself a break for a year. I want to drink only with my wife and not anywhere else."
He also mentioned, "I watched the MAMA stage. When your teams came out with old songs, I could feel the excitement of the younger friends who are currently active! Those friends all grew their dreams by watching Big Bang. It's hard for us to act impactfully in a short time."
He continued, "I want to ask you something. Since I became a main character and have been in that role, everyone around me just says 'You're doing great!' but they don't give me accurate feedback. It's really hard to judge for myself. I'm curious about how you judge the 8 songs you made yourself?"
In response, GD said, "That's difficult... I think I didn't set a standard for whether it's good or bad at some point. Since it's music, I don't make it thinking it will be successful, so it takes me a long time to wander alone. I think I've changed it to whether I like it or not. Doing it that way, I don't have regrets."
GD also mentioned, "Hyung-don asked me, 'Who are you close with?' and I said I'm close with Hwang Jung-min, but he didn't believe me. He played the guitar in a movie... I want him to do a session..." showing his intention to recruit Hwang Jung-min. The two then enjoyed Hwang Jung-min's recommended song 'The Darkness and the Starlight' by Kim Hyun-sik and GD's recommended song 'Very Old Lovers' by 015B.
After listening to the music, Hwang Jung-min suggested, "I think fun and fast music would be good! Just the team name '2025' would be fine. Next year will be 2026, but even if the members change, I hope I can be of some help!"
On another day, a gathering of friends born in 88 was arranged thanks to the opinions of GD and Kim Soo-hyun. Kwanghee was the first to appear, saying, "I'm the only one here... Thank goodness. Is PD Kim Tae-ho watching? I need to show a changed appearance!" showing a nervous demeanor.
Next, Jung Hae-in appeared. The two, who were meeting for the first time, awkwardly greeted each other, with Kwanghee saying, "Look at the camera! This is really awkward," while Jung Hae-in explained, "I flew in today. I had an event in Japan."
Im Si-wan then made his appearance. Kwanghee casually asked, "Did you come?" and Im Si-wan expressed surprise, "How did the two of you arrive first?"
The fourth to arrive was Lee Soo-hyuk, and the three felt awkward. Kwanghee tried to lead the conversation, saying, "I haven't seen Soo-hyuk in a long time... right?" but the awkward atmosphere continued.
