Singer Park Seo-jin has been crowned the 2nd 'Current King of Singers'.
In the MBN broadcast of 'Current King of Singers 2' on the 25th, Park Seo-jin was depicted as being selected as the 2nd Current King of Singers, surpassing Jin Hae-sung.
On this day, the final second round featured performances in the order of Hwanhee, Shin Yu, Kim Soo-chan, Park Seo-jin, Jin Hae-sung, Kim Jun-soo, Choi Soo-ho, Kang Moon-kyung, Shin Seung-tae, and Enok. After completing all the performances, the current singers comforted each other, saying, "You worked hard."
Following this, a special stage featuring the main performers of 'Current King of Singers' took place. Starting with the 1st Current King of Singers Jeon Yu-jin, My Jin, Byeol Sarang, Lin, and Kim Da-hyun took the stage.
Before the results were announced, Shin Yu expressed, "I feel so regretful and sad thinking that it ends like this. Still, I was so happy to be able to spend such a wonderful time with such amazing singers." Shin Seung-tae, who ranked first with 199 points in the final second round, laughed when asked by Shin Dong-yeop about his expected ranking, saying, "I really can't predict it. I tried to guess, but today, any of the 10 could have been first. Everyone worked hard."
Enok topped the mid-term tally, and also secured first place in the combined scores of online support votes and new song streaming. The rankings were recorded as follows: 2nd Choi Soo-ho, 3rd Park Seo-jin, 4th Kim Jun-soo, 5th Shin Seung-tae, 6th Jin Hae-sung, 7th Kim Soo-chan, 8th Kang Moon-kyung, 9th Hwanhee, and 10th Shin Yu.
The final results, including real-time text votes, were then revealed. Among the valid votes of 2,033,583, Shin Yu received 126,150 votes, placing 10th, Kim Soo-chan received 129,158 votes, placing 9th, and Hwanhee received 170,59 votes, failing to enter the national representative TOP7. The names called were 7th Kang Moon-kyung, 6th Choi Soo-ho, 5th Kim Jun-soo, 4th Shin Seung-tae, and 3rd Enok, with Park Seo-jin taking 1st place.
Upon hearing his name called, Park Seo-jin showed a bewildered expression. He said, "I really didn't expect to win and didn't prepare a speech. I was able to win because the public chose me. I wonder how happy my brothers in heaven would be to see this. I will work harder," as he became emotional.
2nd place Jin Hae-sung said, "The production team of 'Current King of Singers 2' worked hard. I am also grateful to the judges. Thank you to the public and fans who voted a lot." He added, "To my grandmother in heaven, you couldn't see the final stage, but I achieved a good result. Thank you."
