In 'Questions', biologist Choi Jae-cheon and actress Bae Doo-na discuss the meaning of 'life goes on'.
The MBC cultural program 'Son Seok-hee's Questions' (hereafter 'Questions') will air on the 4th at 9 PM, providing an opportunity to reflect on our lives in this era. The guests for the sixth episode of 'Questions' are actress Bae Doo-na and honorary professor Choi Jae-cheon from Ewha Womans University.
Professor Choi, a sociobiologist, is also an intellectual who has actively spoken and acted on sensitive issues in our society. His participation in the constitutional court to argue against the injustice of the 'hojuje' (patrilineal family system) led to its eventual abolition. Much of his work in sociobiology includes critical reflections on human society. Throughout his career, Professor Choi has raised important topics in our society with keywords such as 'deliberation, not debate' and 'conscience'.
Actress Bae Doo-na, as shown in her filmography, has navigated between blockbusters and independent films while consistently portraying what it means to be a 'good person'. She is known for rejecting the glamorous image often associated with actors, both in daily life and in film, creating her own unique aura. Now in her mid-forties, Bae Doo-na's thoughts on the world and cinema will be explored in 'Questions'.
The host of this program, Son Seok-hee (currently a visiting professor at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto), hinted at the end of last week's 'Questions' that "I thought there was no connection between the two, but there was." In the midst of the chaotic impeachment politics, the calm conversation with these two individuals is something to look forward to as we welcome the new spring.
'Questions' will air on the 4th at 9 PM.
