On the 10th, the production team of tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Divorce Insurance’ (directed by Lee Won-seok and Choi Bo-kyung, written by Lee Tae-yoon, planned by CJ ENM and Studio Genie, produced by Mongjakso and Studio Mondo) released a teaser video featuring the characters with distinct divorce backgrounds: No Gi-jun (played by Lee Dong-wook), Kang Han-deul (played by Lee Joo-bin), An Jeong-man (played by Lee Kwang-soo), and Jeon Na-rae (played by Lee Da-hee).
‘Divorce Insurance’ is a pure guarantee office romantic comedy that introduces a divorce insurance product to cope with the hottest disaster of our time, divorce, developed by the innovative product development team of an insurance company filled with the best brains. Through the process of creating a divorce insurance that guarantees the potential disaster of divorce and the life that follows an unexpected breakup, it presents a relatable growth story for adults striving to live authentically. Director Lee Won-seok, known for his stylish and witty direction in the film ‘Killing Romance’, and writer Lee Tae-yoon, who has received public love for his fresh and unique concepts in works like ‘The Tale of Nokdu’, ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’, and ‘My Roommate is a Gumiho’, have teamed up to heighten expectations. Above all, there is great anticipation for the synergy created by trusted actors Lee Dong-wook, Lee Joo-bin, Lee Kwang-soo, and Lee Da-hee.
Following the buzz generated by the teaser poster, the newly released teaser video featuring the stories of the divorce experts further raises expectations. Starting with the refreshing face of An Jeong-man, the ‘divorce acceptor’ who says, “I got divorced,” and Kang Han-deul, the ‘divorce novice’ who exclaims, “I just signed the papers a month ago,” expressing a sense of liberation. Notably, Jeon Na-rae introduces herself as “the first divorce partner of Gi-jun,” and No Gi-jun, the ‘divorce veteran’, laughs heartily while saying, “I’ve been divorced not once, not twice, but three times,” increasing curiosity about how these individuals with different divorce experiences will come together to complete a divorce insurance.
Lee Dong-wook plays No Gi-jun, an insurance actuary in the innovative product development team of Plus Loss Insurance, who appears to be the perfect man with both qualifications and expertise but has gone through three divorces. He decides to develop a divorce insurance product based on the idea that divorce is indeed an unexpected disaster in life. Lee Joo-bin takes on the role of Kang Han-deul, an underwriter (insurance contract review) who is reborn through divorce. Equipped with a ‘Bbang-tol (Bbang-geut Ttorai) beauty’, he joins No Gi-jun’s divorce insurance development team, gaining the courage to step forward in the world and developing a new type of relationship with No Gi-jun.
Lee Kwang-soo passionately portrays An Jeong-man, a risk surveyor who prioritizes safety. Although he pretends to be cool on the outside, he is actually timid and embarks on the greatest adventure of his life while struggling with the members of the divorce insurance development team. Lee Da-hee transforms into Jeon Na-rae, a financial mathematician who views the world solely from an investment perspective. Confident in all her choices and decisions, Jeon Na-rae experiences gradual changes in her life after joining No Gi-jun’s divorce insurance team as a special advisory quant.
The production team of ‘Divorce Insurance’ stated, “In ‘Divorce Insurance’, various forms of divorce and the relatable growth stories of adults preparing for a second life will be depicted in a delightful manner,” and added, “We hope you look forward to what the ‘divorce insurance’ created by individuals with their own stories of divorce will look like.”
tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Divorce Insurance’ will premiere on Monday, the 31st, at 8:50 PM, and will be available to viewers worldwide through the global streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
