'Memory Keeper' achieved the highest interest for its premiere, securing the No. 1 spot in overall Saturday entertainment ratings for five consecutive weeks.
On the broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Men Who Live with Housekeeping Season 2' (hereafter 'Housekeeping Men') aired on the 15th, the daily life of Park Seo-jin and the first episode featuring the main character Song Baek-kyung from 1TYM in 'Memory Keeper' was revealed. The ratings recorded 6% nationwide according to Nielsen Korea, and a scene where Hyo-jung was caught secretly eating Jajangmyeon brought great laughter, causing the ratings to soar to a peak of 8.3%.
On this day, special guest Park Ji-won from Fromis_9 appeared, and a video of Park Seo-jin was shown. Park Seo-jin began organizing unused items at home following the advice of a fortune teller, intending to sell his desk and exercise equipment. However, his younger sister Hyo-jung opposed selling the exercise equipment, claiming she was still on a diet, which led Park Seo-jin to provoke her by suggesting they weigh themselves.
In October, Hyo-jung had lost 13kg during a body profile shoot and continued to diet, successfully losing a total of 17kg, which surprised everyone. Park Seo-jin remarked, "There was only a 3kg difference between me and Park Hyo-jung. So it was even more shocking," adding, "It felt really bad to be in the same 60kg range." After his stylist commented, "You've gained a lot of weight. Didn't your pants burst? You have to lose weight to wear pretty clothes," he declared another diet.
However, Park Seo-jin started a fasting diet instead of exercising and even continued extreme dieting by sweating it out in a sauna. The highly anticipated first main character of 'Memory Keeper,' which explores the current status of top stars, was Song Baek-kyung from 1TYM. Appearing with his two sons, 9-year-old Song Ru-bin and 8-year-old Song Ru-an, Song Baek-kyung revealed for the first time his new life after leaving the entertainment industry in 2007 for a second career. He candidly shared, "I had good memories, but I also struggled a lot during that time," explaining his reasons for leaving the industry.
He also opened up about his fellow 1TYM members. Song Baek-kyung mentioned that he occasionally meets Danny, who is living in the U.S. as a father of two, and shared that Oh Jin-hwan is preparing to start a café business in Jeju Island. He added, "I haven't contacted Teddy in a while because our paths have diverged. It's not that we have a bad relationship," sharing news about Teddy, who has become a famous producer.
Later, Song Baek-kyung drew attention by revealing that he has become a voice actor while visiting KBS to record a radio drama. He explained that after suddenly becoming a husband and father, he thought about finding a place where he could utilize his skills and earn a stable income. He then registered for a night school to study voice acting.
In the evening, he surprised everyone by going to work at a Japanese-style pub that he runs with his mother. When his beautiful mother was revealed, the MCs admired her beauty. In particular, Baek Ji-young commented, "She is so beautiful," and "She says she is 68, but she looks just a few years older than me."
Working tirelessly throughout the day, Song Baek-kyung said, "I endure thinking about my family. My family is the source of all my strength. That's what I live for," adding, "Even though it seems like I have a lot of work, my mother does much more." He also expressed his affection for his mother, who raised him after his father passed away when he was 14, touching the audience.
