The production team of 'Good Day' is facing criticism after airing segments featuring actor Kim Soo-hyun, who has been embroiled in a personal controversy. Although they promised to edit the segments after apologizing, angry netizens continue to voice their dissatisfaction.

On the broadcast of MBC's entertainment program 'Good Day' on the 16th, Kim Soo-hyun's appearance was shown. During a conversation between G-Dragon and Jo Se-ho, the '88s' were mentioned, which included Kim Soo-hyun. Jo Se-ho asked, "Did you get a bit closer to Kim Soo-hyun that day? I heard you hung out late," inquiring if they had built a friendship through the 88s (Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Soo-hyuk, Im Si-wan, Hwang Kwang-hee, Jung Hae-in).

G-Dragon replied, "We hung out until dawn. It felt like we were back in school; I went home, slept, and when I woke up, I received a text saying it was nice to see each other in the morning," explaining that they had a good time. During this, footage of the 88s members meeting was shown again, including Kim Soo-hyun singing. Additionally, when they later showed the auction of personal items, Kim Soo-hyun was seen sitting in black clothing, drawing attention.

As Kim Soo-hyun's appearance was aired, netizens reacted critically to the lack of editing, and on the morning of the 17th, the 'Good Day' team released an official statement saying, "First, we apologize for causing concern to those who watch 'Good Day'."

They continued, "The production team recognizes the seriousness of the controversy surrounding 'Good Day' participants and is continuing production while prioritizing viewer reactions." They explained, "'Good Day' is a program that is pre-produced at least one week to two weeks before airing due to translation processes for overseas broadcasting/distribution. The fifth episode that aired yesterday was urgently edited to remove Kim Soo-hyun's appearance from the 'Good Day General Assembly' segment after the controversy escalated, and it was re-uploaded. As a result, the fifth episode was about 10 minutes shorter than previous episodes and lacked detail," clarifying that it was already an edited broadcast.

Regarding Kim Soo-hyun's participation in the recording held on the 13th, they stated, "Due to delays in the 'Good Day' audio recording, the production team was waiting for an official statement from Kim Soo-hyun's agency regarding the controversy. However, since the agency indicated they would make a statement next week (as of March 13) and that securing the participant's schedule would be difficult after that day, the recording had to proceed after much deliberation. The production team, after careful discussion, conducted the recording and sketch filming while keeping in mind the possibility of deleting segments and trying to avoid overlap with other participants," they explained.

The 'Good Day' team assessed that the program's purpose could be compromised due to the controversy and stated, "The content of the 'Good Day General Assembly' revealed in the latter half of the fifth episode was filmed on February 18 and will unfold over the next 6-7 episodes. The production team has decided to edit out Kim Soo-hyun's segments as much as possible. The individual recording process of the participant on March 13 will not be aired," promising maximum editing.

Despite the official statement from 'Good Day', netizens' reactions remain cold. They commented, "Maximum editing? I remember when they erased the member who left during 'Infinite Challenge' without anyone noticing, that's how it should be done," "Is this the first time they are cutting ties?" "Isn't this possible because the overseas response is much colder than the domestic one?" "If the viewer response had been lukewarm, would they have kept him?" "Did they think they could get away with it?" "I will unsubscribe from YouTube too," "It seems they didn't prioritize viewer reactions," "I will boycott the entire Theo," "How fast they are," "I'm really disappointed in PD Kim Tae-ho," "I won't watch anymore," "The problem was pushing through even after the controversy erupted," among other reactions.
