Shim Eun-jin from the group Baby V.O.X revealed that she has failed IVF attempts five times.
In the episode aired on the 17th, SBS’s ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny’ featured Kim Ji-eun and Shim Eun-jin as special MCs.
On that day, Seo Jang-hoon asked, “I heard that Shim Eun-jin attempted IVF because she wants to have twins.” Shim Eun-jin replied, “That’s right. Since I’m getting older, if I were to have children, I wanted to have two at once.”
Shim Eun-jin shared, “I started IVF in May of last year. I repeated the egg retrieval and implantation every month. I only took a break for one month. I failed five times like that. I thought if I fail one more time, maybe I should stop.”
She continued, “However, two weeks ago, I reached the implantation stage and even had a gestational sac, but it failed. I felt like if I give up here, it would be a form of hope torture. So I’m contemplating whether to try again. It’s been a continuous failure without any promise.”
