A hot meeting took place between BTS Jin, the '21st Century Pop Icon', and Yutaka Matsushige, the 'Pro Solo Eater' who swept across Asia.
On the 18th at 9 PM, Jin appeared in the 26th episode of the self-produced variety show 'Run, Sukjin' on the BTS YouTube channel, where he conquered a jjimjilbang alongside Yutaka Matsushige, an actor and director from the Japanese national drama 'The Lonely Gourmet', and broadcaster Kangnam. He showcased his expertise in jjimjilbang by teaching Matsushige, who was visiting a Korean jjimjilbang for the first time, how to make a towel hat and introducing popular menu items from the snack bar.
With his unique friendliness, Jin brought out genuine laughter from Matsushige. He created a comfortable atmosphere by sharing his experiences at Japanese hot springs and perfectly played the role of a witty host by advising that the steamed eggs should be cracked on the head before eating. Matsushige was captivated by Jin's introduction, expressing admiration for the taste of Sikhye (sweet rice drink) and satisfaction with the refreshing cold noodles enjoyed after the jjimjilbang, bringing great joy to the scene.
After spending a hot time together, they promised to meet again. Matsushige remarked, “It was a fun experience. I felt like I had forgotten why I came to Korea,” sharing his thoughts on filming 'Run, Sukjin'. In response, Jin said, “It was an honor to be able to work with a star I have seen a lot on TV. I hope we can film together again if the opportunity arises.”
Meanwhile, the next episode of 'Run, Sukjin' will feature a fencing challenge with Olympic gold medalist Oh Sang-wook from the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 27th episode, showcasing Jin's fantastic visuals and fencing skills, will be released on the BTS YouTube channel on the 25th at 9 PM and will be available for viewing on the global superfan platform Weverse an hour later.
