Actor Jung Joon-ho has left the door open for a possible entry into politics.
On the 19th, MBC's 'Radio Star' featured guests Jung Joon-ho, Lee Hee-jin, Jung Hee-won, and Swings.
On this day, Jung Joon-ho mentioned that, as a king of connections in the entertainment industry, he spends a tremendous amount of money on managing his network, saying, "I really like people, and since I have many responsibilities, I have a lot of contacts saved on my phone. I think I have about 15,000 contacts saved."
Jung Joon-ho said, "I often receive requests to send flower arrangements for celebrations and condolences. It's not just my acquaintances who contact me; I also get messages through people I know. Sometimes I send them even if I don't know who they are." He continued, "In a year, I send out as many as 2,500 flower arrangements. When it gets busy, I think I spend about 200 million won just on flower arrangements," surprising everyone.
Jung Joon-ho revealed that global figures attended his wedding. He said, "Since I go to many places, a lot of people came. Even if the third-ranking prince from Dubai, the Minister of Defense of Mongolia, and high-ranking officials from the U.S. State Department couldn't come, their subordinates did."
Jung Joon-ho stated, "At my wedding, about 4,000 to 5,000 guests attended. We held the wedding at Walkerhill, and we used every space available, from halls to restaurants to performance venues within the hotel. The catering alone cost about 300 to 400 million won. That (wedding gifts) is also a form of mutual support. You have to attend all celebrations."
Additionally, Jung Joon-ho mentioned that he serves as the chairman of the Jeonju International Film Festival and the president of the Korean Broadcasting Actors Association, stating that he is currently an ambassador for over 100 organizations. He confidently remarked, "If I decide to enter politics, wouldn't I get more than 5 million votes nationwide?"
When Jang Do-yeon asked, "Do you have any intention of entering politics?" Jung Joon-ho replied, "I have received nomination proposals from my hometown several times. However, after careful consideration, I politely said that I wouldn't and couldn't." He added, "When I serve as an ambassador, I travel around the region and listen to the stories of local residents. I may not have a member of parliament badge, but I can comfortably convey public sentiment. As a result, I receive treatment like a five-term committee member."
However, Jung Joon-ho caught attention by keeping the possibility of entering politics open. He said, "Politics is a living thing. Life is unpredictable, and whether I do it or not, if the opportunity arises, I will consider it then." To this, Kim Gu-ra humorously responded, "It will be lively every four years."
