Lee Sang-woo's father-in-law will be revealed on ‘Pyeon Restaurant’.
In the KBS2 show ‘New Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Pyeon Restaurant’) airing on the 21st, Lee Sang-woo will challenge himself to make homemade Cornelian cherry makgeolli and prepare a heartfelt meal for his father-in-law with the makgeolli he made himself. During this process, Lee Sang-woo's father-in-law, Kim So-yeon's father, will be revealed. Viewers can expect delightful conversations between Lee Sang-woo and his father-in-law, who always praises, “Our son-in-law is doing great,” and “Our son-in-law is the best!” bringing smiles to everyone.
In the VCR that will be aired, Lee Sang-woo visits his father-in-law's garden located in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do. Together with his father-in-law, he harvests fruits from the Cornelian cherry tree, deciding to make the Cornelian cherry makgeolli that Kim So-yeon loves. Although it was not an easy process, Lee Sang-woo was motivated by his father-in-law's praise of “Our son-in-law is doing great!” and successfully made the homemade Cornelian cherry makgeolli. When the Pyeon Restaurant crew commented, “He looks just like So-yeon, so sweet,” Lee Sang-woo smiled and said, “That's right. I think I learned a lot from my father-in-law about expressing myself, just like (my wife) So-yeon does.”
Having made the Cornelian cherry makgeolli himself, Lee Sang-woo prepared a table with dishes like makgeolli boiled pork, steamed clams with makgeolli, and makgeolli bread. It was a special dinner for his father-in-law who helped make the Cornelian cherry makgeolli.
As soon as Lee Sang-woo's father-in-law saw the meal prepared by his son-in-law, he seemed touched and showered him with compliments, creating a warm atmosphere. He also tasted each dish, expressing his love for his son-in-law with wonderful descriptions of the flavors. Lee Sang-woo expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you for always giving such wonderful flavor descriptions when I cook for you.”
Lee Sang-woo even gifts his grateful father-in-law with a special performance. Tapping into his singer-songwriter instincts, he presented a NEW original song ‘Makgeolli Song’ in front of his father-in-law, following his legendary self-composed song ‘Shark Song’ after 10 years. How did his father-in-law react to the somewhat unexpected song from his quirky son-in-law? The sweet reaction of his father-in-law, who exclaimed, “He’s just like Kim So-yeon,” and the warm dining scene between Lee Sang-woo and his father-in-law will be revealed in the broadcast.
