Actress Jang Shin-young expressed her gratitude to her neighborhood friends who supported her during the difficult times caused by her husband Kang Kyung-jun's affair controversy.
In the KBS2 broadcast of ‘Newly Released Pyeon Restaurant’ on the 21st, Jang Shin-young's daily life was depicted.
On this day, Jang Shin-young decided to host a kids' buffet for her son's friend's birthday party. She quickly prepared dishes like sweet potato pancakes, gimbap, sweet and sour pork pizza, jajangmyeon, and salad bread, catching everyone's attention.
At that moment, her parenting friends arrived with their children, and they were amazed by the impressive kids' buffet. Jang Shin-young and her friends shared stories while eating the food left by the kids.
While making cabbage pancakes for her friends, Jang Shin-young opened up, saying, “Last year on my birthday, my friends brought me food.” She continued, “Usually, we go out to eat on birthdays. But at that time, I was sick and struggling, so I must have worried them. When the doorbell rang, I saw my friends' faces on the screen.”
When Jang Shin-young said, “They brought the food in saying it was no big deal, and I cried so much seeing that. I was so touched that I shed tears,” her friends responded, “We all cried. Jang Shin-young cried at home, and we cried outside.” Hearing this, Jang Shin-young wiped her tears.
Jang Shin-young reminisced, “We’ve only known each other for three years, but they comforted me with their actions more than a hundred words. They packed food and brought it over, saying, ‘You need to eat.’ They didn’t even call me because they thought I might struggle to answer the phone.”
She added, “My friends are the driving force that helped me stand up. I think I was able to get up healthier and smile more because of friends like them,” smiling.
When Lee Yeon-bok said, “They are such good friends,” Jang Shin-young replied, “They are friends that I truly wouldn’t trade for anything.”
