In the episode of MBC ‘I Live Alone’ aired on the 21st, Kim Dae-ho's daily life as a freelancer was depicted.
On this day, Kim Dae-ho appeared in the ‘I Live Alone’ studio about two months after leaving MBC. Kim Dae-ho said, “I didn’t expect the rainbow to appear again so quickly.” When Code Kunst asked, “Isn’t it embarrassing to think about when you left?” Kim Dae-ho replied, “Yes. I don’t know why I did that,” feeling embarrassed.
Jeon Hyun-moo introduced Kim Dae-ho's VCR, saying, “Aren’t you curious about how he has been since leaving MBC? It’s too soon to be curious.” Code Kunst joked, “Honestly, I’m not that curious.” When Kim Dae-ho said, “Then play it in three weeks,” Park Na-rae responded, “It won’t work because the season doesn’t match,” causing laughter.
Then, a VCR capturing Kim Dae-ho's daily life was revealed. Kim Dae-ho caught attention by sleeping until the sun was high in the sky. Upon seeing Kim Dae-ho's appearance, Giann 84 was surprised, saying, “It looks like he didn’t declare freelancing but rather retired. Why does he look so old?”
Kim Dae-ho said, “There is a significant change after leaving. When I was working, even if I came home and lay down after work, I would hear ‘This is MBC News Special Report’ and see my colleagues on the screen. Then I would think, ‘My turn will come someday.’ It felt like an extension of work.”
He continued, “Now it feels like my work and rest are clear, like the on and off buttons of a computer. On workdays, I work, and when I rest, I feel very comfortable.”
In response, Jeon Hyun-moo said, “Freelancers also feel anxious if they keep resting.” Giann 84 added, “(Kim Dae-ho) was talking about that in the elevator earlier. He was worried, ‘What if no one calls me?’”
Code Kunst remarked, “That’s something freelancers have to carry for life.” Ki also empathized, saying, “It’s a different category of worry that has arisen.” Kim Dae-ho stated, “Now I feel like I have to find my own work to do.”
