Jung Dong-won introduced the album title 'Gift from the Tall Man' as a continuation of the title of his first regular album. Now, I want to be in the position of the Tall Man and silently watch over and repay my fans."
Jung Dong-won explained that the title track 'Heung' is a trot dance genre song infused with hip-hop and traditional Korean music. Regarding the behind-the-scenes of rapper Haon participating as a feature, he said, "I have been a fan of Kim Haon since 'High School Rapper'. When thinking of hip-hop features, Haon was the first person that came to mind, so I sent him a DM first." He also described the other title track 'Flower Lantern' as a medium-tempo song that tells a story of a sad first love.
Recently, at an album showcase, Jung Dong-won openly revealed that JD1 is his alter ego, stating, "All the money Jung Dong-won earned has been spent by JD1," and added, "If JD2 comes out, I will go bankrupt. For JD1 to make a comeback, Jung Dong-won has to work hard on his activities."
