A Japanese version of 'Current King of Mask Singer' is being produced.
The first male vocalist audition 'Current King of Mask Singer Japan', commemorating the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, has been confirmed for broadcast by the major Japanese broadcaster BS Nippon Television.
The 'Current King of Mask Singer Japan', a male vocal audition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, is the Japanese version of 'Current King of Mask Singer 2', which dominated the ratings as the number one show across all channels for 12 consecutive weeks and was the top entertainment program on Tuesdays, showcasing its overwhelming popularity.
'Current King of Mask Singer Japan' targets Japanese men in their 20s and 30s who are united solely by their passion for singing, regardless of genre or experience. The winner will receive a grand prize of 10 million yen, and the seven selected as the strongest vocalists representing Japan will appear in a spin-off program alongside the members of 'Current King of Mask Singer 2', gaining the opportunity for a simultaneous debut in Korea and Japan.
In particular, 'Current King of Mask Singer Japan' is being produced by 'Crea Studio', which has successfully released a series of hits including 'Current King of Mask Singer', 'Korea-Japan King Competition', and 'Korea-Japan Top Ten Show', raising expectations for the show.
Moreover, the producer in charge at BS Nippon Television has drawn attention by praising the overwhelming directing ability of Crea Studio's CEO Seo Hye-jin as the reason for scheduling 'Current King of Mask Singer JAPAN'. The BS Nippon Television producer stated, "Seo Hye-jin is a producer with overwhelming directing power who has produced national stars in Korea and continues to create hit after hit." They also shared, "I watched the recording of 'Current King of Mask Singer 2', and despite being an audition, everything was at the level of a large concert, from live performances to dancer choreography, costumes, and sets. The scale of the program, with around 80 cameras and producing new songs for the ten runners-up, was astonishing and unimaginable in Japan."
Additionally, the producer at BS Nippon Television expressed, "We are proud to collaborate with content that embodies her directing power, and we are filled with anticipation for the upcoming 'Current King of Mask Singer JAPAN' program and the seven stars that will be discovered through it." Meanwhile, due to the overwhelming response for 'Current King of Mask Singer Japan', a second recruitment phase has begun. The application period for 'Current King of Mask Singer Japan' is until April 12 at midnight, and applications can be submitted through the application page on the official 'Current King of Mask Singer JAPAN' website.
