‘Trot Queen’ Song Gain took over the radio with her shining live skills and wit.
On the 25th, Song Gain appeared on KBS Happy FM ‘Eun Ga-eun's Shining Trot’ (hereafter ‘Shining Trot’), which celebrated its 1st anniversary, starting from 2 PM.
Song Gain said, “If you don’t make mistakes, don’t cause trouble, and work hard, it will become a long-running program,” and delivered flowers prepared by her fandom ‘Again’ to DJ Eun Ga-eun along with warm wishes. In response, Eun Ga-eun expressed her gratitude, saying, “Whenever I go to events with Song Gain, the Again fans always cheer the loudest, so thank you,” adding warmth to the atmosphere.
Revealing behind-the-scenes stories of her regular 4th album ‘Gain; Moon’ released on February 11, Song Gain shared, “There were over 200 candidate songs, and I listened to 40-50 songs each time,” and stated, “All 9 songs were selected by me, and I chose the ones that gave me a good first impression,” showcasing her ‘national treasure ear’ for discovering great songs.
In particular, regarding the included song ‘Farewell Song,’ she said, “As soon as I heard the song, I thought, ‘I have to do this song,’ and immediately asked composer Yoon Myung-sun for it,” revealing a fateful behind-the-scenes story. She also shared that during the recording process, even though she interpreted the melody in her own style, composer Yoon Myung-sun showed complete trust by saying, “Then I will change the sheet music,” which brought laughter.
On that day, Song Gain presented the title track ‘Asadal’ live, leaving a deep impression with her uniquely sorrowful voice and delicate emotional expression. She then sang the included song ‘As Time Passes,’ adding lively stage manners and energizing the listeners.
Meanwhile, after the release of her regular 4th album ‘Gain; Moon,’ Song Gain, who is writing a new history in the trot world with the highest initial sales record for a female trot singer and all included songs charting immediately after release, is set to hold the ‘2025 Song Gain Fan Meeting “Lifetime” - The Rise’ on April 19 at 6 PM at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to meet with her fans.
