Former MBC announcer Kim Dae-ho mentions the contract fee he received after declaring himself a freelancer.
The MBC entertainment program ‘Radio Star’, airing on the 26th at 10:30 PM, features a special episode titled ‘Pursuing Encounters on Uphill Roads’ with guests Um Hong-gil, Lee Soo-geun, Kim Dae-ho, and Sunwoo.
During his time as an MBC announcer, Kim Dae-ho appeared in various entertainment programs, including ‘I Live Alone’, and worked hard. He candidly shares the reason for his resignation despite having built an impressive career as an employee.
In a previous appearance on ‘Radio Star’, Kim Dae-ho discussed who would win the Rookie of the Year award at the ‘2023 MBC Entertainment Awards’ alongside Dex. Ultimately, the Rookie of the Year award was shared between Dex and himself, and he reveals that he received the Best Award the following year and was even nominated for the Grand Prize. He also mentions that he was overwhelmed with emotion, as 14 years of memories flashed before him when he received the Best Award.
After deciding to resign, he first expressed his intention to leave to the writer of ‘I Live Alone’ for a ‘special reason’, and he details the process of officially informing the announcer department afterward.
Kim Dae-ho states that he did not consider resigning until he resolved his sense of obligation to the company and worked diligently, eventually only contemplating resignation after completing his first sports broadcast for the ‘2024 Paris Summer Olympics’.

He also notes that a positive aspect of resigning is that he no longer has to be tense at home in ‘OFF’ mode.
