
Artists from Meta Comedy, a leading comedy label in South Korea, have donated funds to help communities and residents affected by the recent wildfires.
The YouTube channel 'Short Box', run by Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se, donated 20 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, while the YouTube channel 'Pisik University', operated by Jung Jae-hyung, Kim Min-soo, and Lee Yong-joo, contributed 10 million won to the same association. The YouTube channel 'Underworld', managed by Song Ha-bin, donated 5 million won each to the Disaster Relief Association by Kwak Beom and to the animal rights organization Kara by Lee Chang-ho.
Comedian Park Se-mi also participated in the donations. The group Siosios donated to Naver Happy Bean, and the agency Meta Comedy plans to donate the profits from the 29th episode of Meta Comedy Club's content.
The funds raised by the artists from Meta Comedy will be used to support residents who have lost their homes due to the wildfires, focusing on rapid recovery and livelihood support.
Meta Comedy stated, "The artists united with one heart to help the affected residents. We hope that this small contribution can bring some help and hope. We sincerely wish for a return to normalcy as soon as possible."
