'24-Hour Health Club' has released its first teaser, which induces muscle loss when crying and abs when laughing.
Set to premiere on the 30th, KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama '24-Hour Health Club' (directed by Park Jun-soo and Choi Yeon-soo, written by Kim Ji-soo) is a heart-pounding comic romance about a passionate gym enthusiast, manager Do Hyun-jung, who dramatically corrects the overly anxious lives of his gym members.
The released first teaser video features the gym scenes of the muscle-obsessed manager Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Jun-young) and the gym novice member Lee Mi-ran (played by Jung Eun-ji). The strange atmosphere blossoming between the two at the gym makes the hearts of prospective members race.
Shocked by a breakup with her boyfriend, Mi-ran accidentally enters Hyun-jung's gym and starts exercising to change her life. Meanwhile, Hyun-jung, who is more serious about working out than anyone else, shows his 'gym enthusiast' madness by catching Mi-ran when she falls and checking her weight with a romantic gaze and voice, providing plenty of laughs. His reliable line, "I will change your life, member," heightens expectations for the drama.
Mi-ran, who was far from exercise, faces unexpected trials during Hyun-jung's constant care. Seeing Mi-ran in distress, Hyun-jung's wicked smile elicits laughter. It raises curiosity about whether Mi-ran, a 'gym novice' who has kept her distance from exercise, can live a fulfilling life after meeting the 'gym enthusiast' Hyun-jung.
As Hyun-jung and Mi-ran work out together, they grow closer, and Mi-ran begins to build her self-esteem as she feels changes in her body. Eventually, when Mi-ran, in a moment of workout enthusiasm, asks Hyun-jung, "How about my butt instead of my chest?" the expression of the misunderstanding manager (played by Heo Jeong-do) adds to the intrigue. It will be exciting to see what story unfolds as these two, with completely opposite personalities, meet and how Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji's heart-pounding comic romance will reduce body fat and elevate romance.
'24-Hour Health Club' will premiere on the 30th at 9:50 PM as a follow-up to 'Villain's Country.'
