Lee Bong-ryun, Lee Chang-hoon, Son Ji-yoon, and Lee Hyun-kyun come together as the obstetrics and gynecology professors at Jongno Yulje Hospital, showcasing their sweet and salty chemistry with the residents.

In the new tvN weekend drama ‘Someday, a Wise Resident Life’ (Creators Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung / Director Lee Min-soo / Screenwriter Kim Song-hee / Planning CJ ENM Studios / Production Egg is Coming) (hereafter ‘The Wise Doctor Life’), Lee Bong-ryun (as Seo Jeong-min), Lee Chang-hoon (as Ryu Jae-hwi), Son Ji-yoon (as Gong Gi-seon), and Lee Hyun-kyun (as Jo Joon-mo) are set to transform into obstetrics and gynecology professors at Jongno Yulje Hospital, promising a charismatic performance.

First, Lee Bong-ryun takes on the role of Seo Jeong-min, the most notable professor in the obstetrics department at Jongno Yulje Hospital. Seo Jeong-min (played by Lee Bong-ryun), who is rising as the flagship professor of the obstetrics department, is both a role model that residents aspire to be like and a daunting figure they wish to avoid. The meeting with Professor Seo Jeong-min, who captivates the hearts of residents with her deadly charm, is highly anticipated.

Ryu Jae-hwi, a colleague of Seo Jeong-min and a professor in gynecology, is played by Lee Chang-hoon. Ryu Jae-hwi (played by Lee Chang-hoon) is a calm and serene character who always offers positive advice and encouragement, touching the hearts of his students, while also suffering from face blindness, failing to recognize the residents he sees every day, which adds a bit of scratch to his heart. Curiosity about the praise machine, Professor Ryu Jae-hwi, who gives both wounds and inspiration, is growing.

Son Ji-yoon adds a different tension as another professor in obstetrics, Gong Gi-seon. Known as the ‘Demon Deuce’ of obstetrics, Gong Gi-seon (played by Son Ji-yoon) is a mood swing expert who freezes the residents with unpredictable tension every day. Attention is focused on the daily life of Professor Gong Gi-seon, who shows extreme temperature differences between camaraderie and rivalry towards her colleague Seo Jeong-min, who is rising as the flagship of the obstetrics department at Jongno Yulje Hospital.

Following the ‘Demon Deuce’ Gong Gi-seon, the ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ character Jo Joon-mo is played by Lee Hyun-kyun. Jo Joon-mo (played by Lee Hyun-kyun), known for his irritated expression and sarcastic tone, is the number one target of avoidance for residents, making the quiet gynecology ward lively with his loud shouting. While he is a gentleman to patients, he is an angry man to residents, and his unexpected actions are drawing attention.

Thus, the professors Seo Jeong-min, Ryu Jae-hwi, Gong Gi-seon, and Jo Joon-mo of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Jongno Yulje Hospital will serve as kind mentors or fearsome teachers to the clumsy first-year residents, helping the youth grow. The synergy of these professors, who evoke empathy as the ideal boss one wishes to meet in life or the one they never want to meet again, is drawing attention.

The 24-hour life of the professors supporting the obstetrics and gynecology department at Jongno Yulje Hospital can be seen in the new tvN weekend drama ‘Someday, a Wise Resident Life’, which premieres on Saturday, the 12th, at 9:10 PM.
