Actress Jung Eun-ji candidly shared her thoughts on participating in "24-Hour Health Club."

The new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama "24-Hour Health Club," set to premiere on the 30th, is a heart-pounding comic romance about a fitness enthusiast, Director Do Hyun-jung, who dramatically corrects the lives of overly anxious gym members.

Jung Eun-ji plays the role of Im Mi-ran, a gym member with no fitness experience. After a shocking breakup, Mi-ran enters the health club and believes in the words of trainer Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Jun-young), who promises to transform her body and life. However, Mi-ran, who has been far from exercise, faces unexpected challenges in her journey to overcome her heartbreak.

Having established herself as a reliable actress, Jung Eun-ji shared her feelings and determination ahead of the first broadcast of "24-Hour Health Club."

Regarding her reason for choosing the project, Jung Eun-ji said, "I have always liked exercising, and the fact that it is a 'muscle growth drama' intrigued me. The process of positively and healthily changing one's life through exercise was very appealing."

On her character, she explained, "Mi-ran has a complex about her appearance and believes she is not loved because of her chubby body. However, as the story unfolds, she realizes that there are more important values. Mi-ran's transformation and growth process is very realistic and relatable, so I felt a lot of support while acting."

When asked about the aspects she focused on while acting, Jung Eun-ji said, "For the first time in this project, I experienced weight gain and loss to express my character. I hope Mi-ran's weight changes naturally blend into the story and resonate well with the viewers."

She identified keywords that express her character as 'tteokbokki', 'flour', and 'bibimbap', adding, "Mi-ran, who loves tteokbokki and flour, receives love for food in return in other ways. There is a scene where she enjoys bibimbap, which I personally love very much."

Jung Eun-ji shared her thoughts on working with Lee Jun-young, saying, "He was really full of energy on set. Thanks to him, I gained a lot of strength during filming, and he was a great partner. I was a bit nervous acting with a younger co-star for the first time, but he led the way well on set, making it reassuring, and we were able to create great chemistry naturally."

Jung Eun-ji expressed her hopes for the show, stating, "'24-Hour Health Club' is a drama with various meanings through diverse episodes, appealing to those who don't exercise, those just starting, and those for whom exercise has become a lifestyle. I hope everyone enjoys it in their own way. Let's get fit!"

"24-Hour Health Club" will premiere on the 30th at 9:50 PM, following "The Villain's Country."
