Hand model Son Hye-sung shared a story about being misunderstood because of his build.
On the broadcast of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ on the 2nd, Son Hye-sung, a male hand model with 7 years of experience, appeared as a guest.
On this day, Son Hye-sung mentioned that he has been working as a hand model for 7 years and has shot over 300 advertisements in 6 years, drawing attention. He has worked as a hand model for Cha Eun-woo, Gong Yoo, Lee Jung-jae, Son Seok-koo, and BTS's V.
Son Hye-sung said, “I often stood in for Gong Yoo because our builds are similar. One day, while shooting on Haeundae Beach, I was wearing the same clothes as Gong Yoo. Nearby, some ladies were whispering as they looked at me. At that time, it was also during COVID-19, so I was wearing a mask,” he recounted.
He continued, “One lady shyly approached me and said, ‘Excuse me, Mr. Gong Yoo,’ so I replied, ‘Absolutely not.’ Even though it was not something to be confused about, she kept insisting, ‘It’s you, right?’ So I thought I should clear up the misunderstanding and took off my mask. The lady then shouted to her companions, ‘He’s not Gong Yoo.’ The staff burst into laughter,” which elicited smiles from the audience.
