Actor Son Seok-koo returns with a life character that follows the "Gu Syndrome".

On the 3rd, the production team of JTBC's new weekend drama "More Beautiful than Heaven" (written by Lee Nam-kyu and Kim Soo-jin, directed by Kim Seok-yoon), which will premiere on the 19th at 10:40 PM, released still cuts of Son Seok-koo, hinting at the birth of a new life character following the syndrome phenomenon of "Gu".

"More Beautiful than Heaven" is a transcendent romance that unfolds when Lee Hae-sook (played by Kim Hye-ja), who arrives in heaven at the age of 80, reunites with her husband Ko Nak-jun (played by Son Seok-koo), who has become young in his 30s. Lee Hae-sook's heavenly life, starting a second life at the end of her life, offers warm emotions beyond cheerful laughter.

Director Kim Seok-yoon, who has worked on numerous projects such as "Hip", "Dazzling", and "Pointy", collaborates once again with writers Lee Nam-kyu and Kim Soo-jin. Additionally, trusted actors whose names are synonymous with reliability, including Kim Hye-ja, Son Seok-koo, Han Ji-min, Lee Jung-eun, Cheon Ho-jin, and Ryu Deok-hwan, have joined the cast, exciting drama fans.

Above all, the meeting of Kim Hye-ja and Son Seok-koo, who play a couple reunited in heaven, is drawing attention. In particular, there is a focus on Son Seok-koo's acting transformation as he reunites with director Kim Seok-yoon for the first time in about three years since "My Liberation Notes". Son Seok-koo will portray Ko Nak-jun, Lee Hae-sook's young husband and the postal delivery man in heaven, showcasing his performance that freely transitions between comedy and romance.

Meanwhile, the photo released shows the heavenly house of the couple Ko Nak-jun and Lee Hae-sook, which catches the eye. The house and garden, built and decorated by Ko Nak-jun while waiting for his wife to reunite in heaven, reflect the heart of the "heavenly lovebird". It appears to be an ordinary space that could exist somewhere in our current reality, but Ko Nak-jun's happy smile and relaxed demeanor evoke anticipation for his life that will begin anew in this heaven after death. In another photo, Ko Nak-jun embarks on a distant commute from heaven to earth. His important mission as the postal delivery man in heaven is to deliver "wish letters". This raises curiosity about the people and stories he will encounter as a communication bridge between heaven and earth.

Son Seok-koo stated, "I have deep trust in director Kim Seok-yoon due to my connection from 'My Liberation Notes', and I decided to participate immediately because I could act in a romance with Kim Hye-ja." He added, "Ko Nak-jun is a character who loves Lee Hae-sook. Everything he does is for his wife Hae-sook." Regarding the uniqueness of "More Beautiful than Heaven", he mentioned, "The heaven in this drama is not a rigid world presented by a few people, but a world decorated with very everyday imagination that everyone can relate to. More importantly, our drama is looking for something more beautiful than heaven, beyond heaven," raising expectations for the first broadcast.

JTBC's new weekend drama "More Beautiful than Heaven" will premiere on the 19th at 10:40 PM and will air every Saturday night at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
