tvN STORY's ‘A Billion-Won Breakfast’ features a K-Snack special.

In the 7th episode of tvN STORY’s ‘A Billion-Won Breakfast’ airing on the 3rd, the main figures behind the K-Snack craze that introduced Tteokbokki and fish cakes, the representative snacks of the nation, to the world will appear. CEO Kim Kwan-hoon, the founder of a self-service unlimited refill Tteokbokki buffet with annual sales of about 240 billion won and over 420 stores worldwide, and CEO Park Yong-jun, who turned a fish cake factory on the brink of closure into a company with annual sales of about 100 billion won, will reveal the secrets of success of these two young CEOs who led the globalization of K-Snacks.

First, we meet CEO Kim Kwan-hoon, the 'Emperor of Snacks' who founded the world's first self-service unlimited refill Tteokbokki buffet. He shares an episode from his days as an office worker, filled with thoughts of "Just hold on for one more day" without dreams or passion, and tells an exciting story of his Tteokbokki enthusiast days, where he visited over 3,000 Tteokbokki restaurants across the country due to his extraordinary love for Tteokbokki. Based on these experiences, he created a new concept Tteokbokki brand that had never existed before, paving a new path.

Above all, CEO Kim Kwan-hoon, who dreams of the globalization of Tteokbokki, captivates attention by sharing the secret of K-Tteokbokki that made people around the world excited despite its unfamiliar texture. Moreover, he revealed a special billion-won Tteokbokki golden recipe, which received a warm response from the cast. On this day, comedian Hong Yoon-hwa is set to appear as a special guest, and a special Tteokbokki blind test for CEO Kim Kwan-hoon, who has conquered Tteokbokki across the nation, is also anticipated, raising curiosity.

Next, CEO Park Yong-jun shares an innovative management story that opened a new horizon for the fish cake business, which had no vision. When he first inherited the company, which has been run for three generations by his grandfather and father, CEO Park Yong-jun faced a staggering debt of 8 billion won. He jumped into the business, giving up his own dreams, and experienced such despair that he wanted to jump off a bridge due to the overwhelming reality, but he confesses that his sense of mission to protect the family business turned crises into opportunities for growth.

In particular, he shares challenging and innovative attempts that changed the paradigm of the fish cake industry, such as opening a fish cake bakery where freshly fried fish cakes can be enjoyed immediately, breaking away from the traditional notion that "fish cakes are side dishes." He introduces the backstory of the diverse fish cakes developed with brilliant ideas, revealing his side as a 'fish cake revolutionary,' and states, "The possibilities of fish cakes are endless," while also revealing ambitious plans to expand beyond Korea to overseas markets and even into space. Meanwhile, on this day’s broadcast, a surprise appearance by his son, whose dream is to become the CEO of a fish cake company, added warmth to the filming site, increasing curiosity.

tvN STORY’s ‘A Billion-Won Breakfast’ airs every Thursday at 8 PM.
