Kim Sang-hyuk shared his recent updates following the drunk driving incident.

On the afternoon of the 5th, KBS2's 'Salim Nam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salim Nam') featured Kim Sang-hyuk from Click-B, who shared his updates after a long time.

In this episode, Park Seo-jin and his younger sister Park Hyo-jung appeared as the first guests. Hyo-jung, who came home late, said in an interview, "If the dried fish store is busy, I go back and forth, and since my brother is busy with events, I help with household chores and the store by going to Samcheok."

Seo-jin responded bluntly to Hyo-jung's comment, "Did you miss me?" by saying, "Why would I want to see you?" He complained, "I couldn't even sleep. Is Dad smoking? Aren't you watching if Dad is smoking? If he does, what should I say? He acts all smart by himself." When Hyo-jung didn't play along, Seo-jin got angry, saying, "Did you clean everything off the table? Didn't you see the bills? You just threw them here!"

However, when Hyo-jung didn't react as usual, Seo-jin became flustered. Then, when a call came from their mom, and he was told to take the call in another room, Seo-jin moved to his room. Their mom said, "Hyo-jung went up to Seoul because she wasn't feeling well. She greeted customers at the store, but when she didn't greet one customer, she got scolded. She was forced to take off her mask while working. She couldn't tell her brother and cried while talking to me. The truth is, Hyo-jung doesn't say much. It's hard for her to go back and forth to Samcheok. You should talk to her well. You need to take care of your only sister," explaining why Hyo-jung was upset.

Seeing this, Eun Ji-won said, "If it were about himself, he would have gotten angry. But he held back because he was worried it would affect his brother."

Seo-jin went to the living room and said, "Did something happen in Samcheok? Mom called me because you must be having a hard time, right? You talk to everyone except me," feeling hurt.

When Hyo-jung said, "Going back and forth is hard, and going down to Samcheok is even harder," Seo-jin replied, "Then just stay down in Samcheok." Hyo-jung seemed upset and said, "You don't have the attitude to listen. I don't want to talk like that. Don't talk to me. Just go away," and headed to her room.

Seo-jin said, "I was just curious, but Park Hyo-jung says nothing is wrong, and mom says to comfort her. I got frustrated and raised my voice. To be honest, I'm used to hearing bad things because I'm a singer and stand in front of the public, but my family isn't. They started communicating with people they don't know because of me. I'm grateful that many people love my family, but I sometimes feel sorry when I see them struggling because of me. I wonder if I complicated things more by saying they were having a hard time... Should I have held back my anger and asked? Should I have comforted them and listened to their worries? I regretted why I couldn't express myself better," he honestly shared his feelings in an interview.

Hyo-jung revealed, "There are increasingly difficult situations. Some people greet me a bit too intensely, and there are those who touch my side or pinch my butt and curse at me, which has made me cry from the hurt."

She added, "I also have to keep smiling. I don't want to cause unnecessary trouble for my brother."

Eventually, their parents came down, and when their dad wore a wig to make them laugh, Hyo-jung reluctantly put on the wig, asking, "Did my brother make you do this?" After that, their mom prepared seafood dishes that Hyo-jung liked, and their dad gave her some pocket money.

The four then headed to a laughter therapy class that Seo-jin had prepared. Seo-jin explained, "I found out that there is something called laughter diet to make Park Hyo-jung laugh. It's a two-in-one because you can lose weight and find laughter."

Under the guidance of an expert, they participated in tongue diet and plate dance classes. Finally, in the 'I am a great person' class, Hyo-jung smiled and said, "I am a great person! I learned what laughter is today."

Their mom expressed her gratitude towards Hyo-jung in an interview, saying, "What makes me great is that I gave birth to Seo-jin and Hyo-jung. Thank you so much for taking care of your brother. I am always grateful to you. I love you and always think of you with gratitude."

As the second guest, Kim Sang-hyuk from Click-B appeared. He said, "I had many dislikes because of my mistakes. I received an offer for a public broadcast entertainment show after a long time, but many people still found it hard to accept. A high-ranking person at the broadcasting station said, 'Sang-hyuk can't do it,' so it fell through," revealing his daily life of distributing flyers.

Living with his mom, Kim Sang-hyuk said, "I moved from a big house to a small one. The interior doesn't match this house. My father passed away when I was 11. I was doing homework at school, and my father was on his way back from playing tennis with a colleague. It was raining, and there was subway construction going on. My father fell while riding his bike. I was told to call somewhere to confirm at the mortuary," sharing the situation of losing his father.

He continued, "I was confused. 'He went out to check my homework, didn't he?' After that, my father's colleagues came to visit. Honestly, it would have been a relationship that would have ended, but I thought my father was cool," he said with regret. Sang-hyuk's mom cried, saying, "I only felt resentment. I thought, 'Why did you make me a widow?' I just wanted him to be there, no matter what. I missed the empty space."

When asked how he has been since the drunk driving controversy, Kim Sang-hyuk said, "I couldn't go outside. After only receiving love, it was overwhelming to be in the opposite situation. Expressing my thoughts became contradictory and caused public outrage... Everything is my fault. I have to bear it all," recalling his painful past.

He added that in 2008, "After my father passed away, my mom started dating a scammer. I also wore a carnation for Parents' Day and visited my father's grave and my grandmother's grave. We were trying to start a motel business. We took out loans using our apartment as collateral in my name and my mom's name and gave money to a construction company, but they didn't build the building. My mom couldn't tell us anything for two years. She was paying 10 million won in interest every month, and one day I found her crying alone in her room."

Ultimately, Sang-hyuk decided to sell the two apartments the family owned. He continued, "Each apartment was worth 1 billion won, and we paid over 100 million won in interest every year for three years, so it was about 2.3 billion won at the time."

In 2021, he said he first encountered his father's remains when they moved his grave, saying, "There was a gold filling among my father's teeth, and I thought, 'This is my father.' I jumped into the pit without realizing it because I wanted to touch it. When I carried the urn containing his ashes, it was so warm. When I held my father's bones, they were so cold and stiff, but the urn containing my father's cremated remains was so warm that I felt his last warmth," eventually shedding tears.

'Salim Nam' airs every Saturday at 9:15 PM.
