In ‘Eagle Brothers’, Ahn Jae-wook has finally realized his feelings for Um Ji-won.
In the 20th episode of KBS2's weekend drama ‘Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers!’ (written by Koo Hyeon-sook, directed by Choi Sang-yeol and Lee Jin-ah), which aired on the 6th, the diverse story of the ‘Suldoga Couple’ unfolded. The episode recorded a viewership rating of 21.7% (Nielsen Korea, based on all households nationwide), and the 2049 viewership rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness and popularity, also reached a record high of 4%, ranking first among all programs aired on the weekend and sweeping the home theater.
In this episode, the confrontation between Ma Gwang-sook (played by Um Ji-won), Han Dong-seok (played by Ahn Jae-wook), and Park Sang-nam (played by Gong Jeong-hwan) sparked interest in the plot. Gwang-sook, who unexpectedly encountered Sang-nam at a work-related location, could not hide her embarrassment and ended up sitting down for a meal at his persistent request. Throughout the conversation, a cold atmosphere prevailed, but tension arose when Dong-seok joined them.
Feeling uncomfortable with the two, Sang-nam expressed his dissatisfaction to Dong-seok, saying, “If I’ve given you a signal several times, shouldn’t you get up?” To this, Dong-seok replied, “I came here to protect you because I thought something unpleasant might happen,” leading to a tense standoff. As a result, Gwang-sook learned the reason Sang-nam had come all the way to the region, which made her furious, and amidst escalating emotions, Sang-nam and Dong-seok ended up in a physical altercation. Gwang-sook also joined in, turning the meal into chaos.
Meanwhile, a peculiar atmosphere between Oh Cheon-soo (played by Choi Dae-cheol) and Moon Mi-soon (played by Park Hyo-joo) caught attention. After successfully completing a presentation at the convenience store headquarters, Cheon-soo visited Mi-soon with a cake to express his gratitude. His quiet gaze at the sleeping Mi-soon was heartwarming, raising curiosity about whether their relationship could develop beyond friendship.
On the other hand, Ji Ok-bun (played by Yoo In-young) saw off Kim Sun-hwa (played by Ahn Mi-na), who was moving away. Ok-bun showed her generosity by taking care of Sun-hwa's daughter's snack money and said, “If you ever want to perm your hair, come to my salon anytime. I’ll do it for free.” Sun-hwa asked for a handshake from Ok-bun and left the neighborhood after saying, “Please take good care of Teacher Heung-soo.”
Surprised by Sun-hwa's sudden moving news, Heung-soo misunderstood it was because of Ok-bun. Ok-bun firmly stated, “Think that there must be a reason she can’t talk about and forget it. Just because you beg and plead doesn’t mean she’ll come back, Director Kim.”
Meanwhile, Gwang-sook and Dong-seok had a delightful time at a rest area, playing a claw machine. When Dong-seok won a doll, Gwang-sook exclaimed, “Chairman, your hands are golden!” and requested a high-five, causing Dong-seok to hide his excitement.
At the end of the broadcast, Dong-seok's heart raced again at Gwang-sook's inquiry about his well-being. The ‘self-awareness ending’ where Dong-seok realizes his heart races every time he meets Gwang-sook heightened anticipation for how their relationship would develop in the next episode.
Meanwhile, ‘Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers!’ airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM.
