On March 3, 2020, at 9 PM, a photo of a severed male genitalia was sent to a father's mobile phone by his son. The perpetrator, revealed after a police report, was the victim's 30-year-old friend, who committed the act after suddenly attacking the victim while drinking together in a motel. After killing him with a knife, he also severed the genitals, allegedly due to issues related to his girlfriend. What story lies behind this incident?
As the investigation began, it was confirmed that six months prior to the incident, the victim, Kim Hyun-woo (pseudonym), had been charged with sexually assaulting the perpetrator's girlfriend. On the day before the incident, the two met again and while drinking, Kim Hyun-woo made sexually insulting remarks about Oh Gi-seok's (pseudonym) girlfriend, which enraged Oh Gi-seok, leading him to claim he killed Kim Hyun-woo. However, the perpetrator did not stop there; after killing his friend, he gruesomely severed his genitals and hung them on the front door of his girlfriend's house.
Ahn Hyun-mo expressed shock, stating, "This is a story that goes far beyond what we can imagine," while Lee Ji-hye remarked, "Having already suffered a great wound from the sexual assault, to be subjected to such a grotesque act of terror as well," adding, "The girlfriend is the biggest victim," expressing her anger.
Meanwhile, on this broadcast, Team Leader Jeong Chang-gil (former detective team of Daejeon Yuseong Police Station), who was directly involved in the arrest and interview of the perpetrator, will appear to testify about the backstory that was not known at the time of the incident. Psychiatrist Lee Kwang-min will also analyze what could have driven the perpetrator to commit such a grotesque and cruel act.
