Broadcaster Yoo Se-yoon reveals the fierce battle of wits that took place during a filial piety trip with his parents.

The Channel A entertainment program ‘Crossing the Line Family’, airing on the 10th at 8:10 PM, is planned as a ‘Filial Piety Trip Special’ featuring actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo as a special guest. Following this, the ‘French Family’ Kim Da-sun & Steve and siblings Rohan & Lena embark on a ‘Paris Filial Piety Trip’ for Kim Da-sun’s parents, who have flown from Korea to France after three years.

On this day, Steve serves a carefully prepared ‘boiled beef tongue’ dish for his in-laws as brunch. Afterwards, the ‘French Family’ moves to Paris and boards a Seine River cruise to visit various landmarks. At this moment, Sunwoo Yong-yeo sighs, “Oh, I feel nauseous~” as soon as she sees the boat. He then comments, “With the time difference, isn’t it better to just sit and sleep on the boat?” and adds, “Children often pack the schedule tightly under the guise of a filial piety trip, but it would be nice to first ask the parents what they want to do,” representing the parents' perspective.

In response, Lee Hye-won nods, saying, “That’s an unexpected point,” while Yoo Se-yoon humorously states, “In the case of our parents, when you ask ‘Where do you want to go?’ they reply, ‘Just do what you think is best~’. However, when we actually take them to nice places, their expressions don’t look good.” He adds that there is a fierce ‘battle of wits’ throughout the trip with his parents, to which Ahn Jung-hwan chimes in, “I don’t understand why they keep leading the way when they don’t even know the route~,” causing everyone to burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, the ‘French Family’ boosts their unity by taking a family group ‘selfie’ on the cruise and later experiences a somewhat unfamiliar culture by downing espressos at an outdoor café. As the parents’ expressions grow darker, Kim Da-sun mentions, “My father-in-law, a self-proclaimed gourmet, recommended a restaurant with a 100% success rate,” and they head there immediately. The place they arrive at is a Michelin restaurant located at the Eiffel Tower observation deck, where the ‘French Family’ enjoys authentic French course meals against the beautiful backdrop of Paris’s night view. Seeing this, ‘French representative’ Fabien explains, “It’s a restaurant that’s hard to even get a reservation at,” evoking envy.

What will the identity of the high-end course meal be, and how will Kim Da-sun’s parents react to their daughter and son-in-law’s filial piety trip in France? You can find out on the ‘Channel A ‘Crossing the Line Family’ airing on the 10th at 8:10 PM.
