Actress Moon Ga-young reminisced about her childhood acting days.
On the 9th, Moon Ga-young appeared as a guest on tvN's ‘You Quiz on the Block’.
On that day, Moon Ga-young shared, "I was born in Germany and came to Korea when I was about 10 years old. I started my activities right away," revealing that she has been in the industry for 20 years. She added, "I never took a break. I ran full speed without resting."
Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Isn't it amazing or nice for people who saw Moon Ga-young when she was young to see her on set now?" Moon Ga-young replied, "I first met teacher Ban Hyo-jung in the drama 'Beyond the Mountain, in the Southern Village,' and we reunited through 'That Guy is a Black Dragon' after 19 years. I went to the set with my mom back then, so she remembers me and even recalls how I studied for exams in the car and went down to the provinces after the exam period."
When Yoo Jae-suk asked, "You've been in the industry for 20 years, so considering the time you've been active, didn't you feel anxious or impatient?" Moon Ga-young said, "I felt that a lot. Especially when I was younger, I felt it even more. Back when I was a child actor, it was like the golden age of child actors, and it was a given that dramas started with child actors from the first to the fourth episodes. One of the reasons why many people don't know much about my childhood acting is that I didn't have any major successful works or memorable pieces. I think that was what made me sad when I was young."
She continued, "I think there's not much difference between 'waiting' and 'enduring.' If you consistently endure and wait in that place, the right time always comes," she smiled.
Moon Ga-young said, "Even at a young age, I wanted to have a representative work quickly and succeed, so I only auditioned for 13 years," adding, "I still keep in touch with Kim Yoo-jung, Kim So-hyun, and Yeo Jin-goo. It's amazing and admirable to see everyone enduring and continuing their activities. If you keep enduring and waiting, good things suddenly start to faintly appear. But in the meantime, I have to be well prepared."
