In the 25th season of 'I Am Solo', a precarious love triangle unfolded.
On the broadcast of SBS Plus and ENA's real dating program 'I Am Solo' on the 16th, the fiery love triangle involving Youngcheol, Youngsook, Hyunsook, Youngho, Kwangsoo, and Oksun was depicted in the latter half of 'Solo Nara 25th Street'.
On the night of the 4th day in 'Solo Nara', the 25th season singles embarked on the 'Super Date Mission'. In the solo men's aerial bicycle running mission, Youngsoo defeated former professional soccer player Youngcheol to win, and in the quiz competition related to Gimhae, where 'Solo Nara 25th Street' is located, Hyunsook earned a date pass. In a mission where singles randomly paired up to take couple photos, Youngsik-Oksun and Youngcheol-Soonja each secured a date pass.
Having never been on an external date due to consecutive '0 votes', Youngsook felt disheartened, prompting Hyunsook to suggest, "What if I use the 'Super Date Pass' on Youngcheol, and he uses his 'Super Date Pass' on you?" Youngsook immediately approached Youngcheol to relay this, appealing, "I was planning to use the 'Super Date Pass' on you if I won it." Youngcheol then asked Hyunsook about her conversation with Youngsook, and Hyunsook summarized, "I encouraged her. I think it would be nice if you had lunch with Youngsook and dinner with me."
Thanks to Hyunsook's consideration, Youngsook was able to go on her first external date with Youngcheol, and in the common living room where everyone was present, she expressed her desire for a dinner date, saying, "I want to drink while on the date." Upon hearing this, Youngcheol responded, "Let's discuss it with Hyunsook," which made Hyunsook uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, Youngho expressed his intentions directly to Oksun, who replied, "You may be a bit clumsy, but you always express yourself first," agreeing to use her 'Super Date Pass' on him. Youngsoo asked Youngja, "You know the 'Super Date Pass' can't be refused, right?" as he requested a date.
Before going to bed, Youngcheol sought out Hyunsook again. He said, "Earlier, Youngsook said she wanted to drink, and if it's not too much trouble, could you ask her if we can have a dinner date?" Hyunsook immediately rejected, saying, "I don't want to give that up."
The next morning, Youngsoo prepared a bouquet and a letter as a gift for Youngja. During a bamboo forest path walking date, Youngsoo found a four-leaf clover and handed it to Youngja. After the date, Youngsoo, in an interview with the production team, couldn't stop his happy delusion, saying, "She clearly likes me, so why doesn't she show it until the end?"
Youngsik also woke up early to slice kiwis and delivered them to Mikyung's accommodation. He then took Mikyung, who enjoys activities, on a shooting range date. After the date, Mikyung revealed in an interview with the production team, "Now we are...," indicating that a couple was about to be born.
Living in similar areas, Youngsook and Youngcheol hit it off from the start of their date. They also shared the same view on marriage, stating, "We should see all four seasons before getting married." On the way back to the accommodation, Youngcheol suddenly suggested to Youngsook, "Do you want to hold hands?" The two shyly held hands.
Around the same time, Sangcheol, who was preparing for a date, witnessed Youngcheol and Youngsook holding hands and informed Soonja. However, Soonja reacted, "Don't lie!" Later, the two took a walk in Yeonji Park, where Sangcheol expressed his concerns to Soonja, who has many 'male friends', saying, "I think I need to make an effort so that I don't feel insecure." Soonja agreed, and the two held hands, creating a couple atmosphere.
Left alone in the accommodation, Kwangsoo cooked jjajang ramen for himself as a 'self-isolation meal' and began writing a poem for Oksun.
At the same time, Oksun, on a date with Youngho, kept yawning due to fatigue. Youngho lamented, "It seems like you find it boring to be with me." Oksun immediately tried to boost his self-esteem, and an energized Youngho enjoyed bowling while betting at the bowling alley. After the date, Youngho told the production team, "I have gained confidence," stating, "Regardless of Oksun's choice, I will make the final decision."
After meeting Youngsook, Hyunsook was asked about her 'dream family' and expressed her desire to find a stable man, saying, "I want to try working abroad using the company's system." Youngcheol replied, "That's not my concept," and concluded the conversation, saying, "Let's talk more at the accommodation."
He then, as he did with Youngsook in the car, asked Hyunsook, "Aren't your hands cold?" and suggested holding hands. In the awkward atmosphere, Hyunsook, who held hands, arrived at the accommodation and revealed to the other single women, "Youngcheol asked to hold hands earlier." Upon hearing this, Mikyung hinted, "I heard you also held hands with Youngsook?"
Hyunsook angrily responded, "Is this a test or what?" and Youngsook, who overheard this outside, went to Youngcheol to ask, "Why did you do that?" Youngcheol explained, "I value the feeling when holding hands," adding, "It seems like it will end ambiguously with Hyunsook." Sensing the rift between the two, Youngsook appealed, "If you talk to Hyunsook and feel down, come to me. I'll heal you."
In the preview released immediately after, scenes of the solo men's date selection and Hyunsook shedding tears while blaming herself, saying, "It's ruined," heightened curiosity for the next broadcast.
The final selection results for the 25th season will be revealed on 'I Am Solo', airing on the 23rd at 10:30 PM.
