Actor Kim Jung-min opens up about the struggles she faced during the past flower snake controversy.
As 'Dongchimi' undergoes a renewal with a new MC trio of Kim Yong-man, Lee Hyun-yi, and Enok, it is set to discuss the joys and sorrows experienced due to family, who are often the closest to us, on the 19th.
The broadcast is expected to showcase a spicier talk with various life mentors sharing stories about family, which can be both a source of strength and pain, along with the witty remarks of the newly joined panelists.
"When I hit rock bottom, my family was all I had," Kim Jung-min began. "After the legal dispute with my ex-boyfriend ended and my innocence was revealed, I was still accused of fraud and extortion by him. I was living independently and doing well, but in 2017, I faced a tough situation. It has already been 8 years," she recalled the difficult moments from her past.
She continued, "Despite being the victim, I faced cold stares from the public and was tormented by false narratives. I felt like I was sinking into an endless swamp, which led me to quit my job."
As if that wasn't enough, she faced even more challenges. Kim Jung-min shared, "At that time, my mother also suffered a stroke and was hospitalized for a year. I couldn't take care of my sick mother, and my mother couldn't take care of her struggling daughter. We couldn't support each other in the face of misfortune, but even without words, we understood each other's feelings. I felt guilty for being unable to do anything for my sick mother, and it broke my heart," she expressed, shedding tears.
Additionally, Kim Jung-min said, "My new father and younger brothers have been a great support by my side. We became stronger and closer through the tough times," expressing her affection for her mother, who was her greatest support during difficult times, and for the new family formed through her mother's remarriage. She added, "In the end, I think family is the greatest comfort during hard times. I realized that blood relations are not the only important thing. I felt that even if we don't live closely or interact warmly, family is all that matters, and I am grateful for that."
