Actress Han Ji-min talked about her mysterious character, Somi.
On the afternoon of the 18th, an online press conference for JTBC's new weekend drama "More Beautiful than Heaven" was held. The event was attended by director Kim Seok-yoon, Kim Hye-ja, Son Seok-koo, Han Ji-min, Lee Jung-eun, Cheon Ho-jin, and Ryu Deok-hwan.
"More Beautiful than Heaven," which will premiere on the 19th at 10:40 PM, tells the story of Lee Hae-sook (played by Kim Hye-ja), who arrives in heaven at the age of 80 and reunites with her husband Ko Nak-jun (played by Son Seok-koo), who has been rejuvenated to his 30s, depicting a transcendent romance.
Han Ji-min plays the role of Somi, an unidentified woman who appears in heaven after losing her memory. Han Ji-min explained her role, saying, "The only thing Somi remembers is the name Ko Nak-jun. So she goes looking for him without any plan. I am also curious about my identity. Everyone in heaven is wondering, 'Who is she?' and 'Isn't she supposed to go to hell? Did she come to the wrong place?'"
She continued, "After the trailer was released, viewers started guessing that I might be playing a dog. At first, I run to Hae-sook and Nak-jun and hug them. So they thought, 'Could she be a dog?' I think it will be fun to watch as they wonder about my identity."
"More Beautiful than Heaven" airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
