Perhaps due to expressing disappointment over the police investigation, the police have changed the investigation team handling the case of 'mukbang' YouTuber Tzuyang.
On the 18th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they have changed the investigation team for the case of Tzuyang (real name Park Jung-won), who filed a complaint against Kim Se-yeol, the head of the YouTube channel Garoseoro Research Institute, for stalking and other charges.
According to the police, Tzuyang's side submitted a request to avoid the existing investigator on that day. In response, the police reassigned a total of four cases related to Tzuyang to different departments than before. This action was taken considering the concerns raised by Tzuyang's side regarding the fairness of the investigation. The police have stated their commitment to conducting a fair investigation in accordance with the law and procedures.
The case was initially divided between the Criminal Investigation Division 1 and Investigation Division 2, but from the 18th, Criminal Investigation Division 2 will be conducting the investigation.

Previously, Tzuyang appeared at the Gangnam Police Station on the 16th as a complainant but left after refusing to be questioned about 40 minutes later.
Before the investigation, Tzuyang met with reporters and stated, "It has been very difficult to hear that someone who has been making false allegations and harassing people around me since July of last year was not prosecuted," adding, "I came here to clarify those issues and to try to achieve a better outcome."
However, Tzuyang suddenly left after about 40 minutes of the investigation starting. Tzuyang's lawyer expressed dissatisfaction, saying, "I couldn't even confirm basic small considerations, and it seemed that they didn't see Tzuyang as a victim at all today," and added, "It seems there is no intention of protection, so I have doubts about whether it is right to proceed with this investigator, and I will reconsider and, if necessary, seek to be questioned again."
Kim Se-yeol has claimed that Tzuyang's statement about having worked in an entertainment establishment due to violence and coercion from a former boyfriend is false, and he filed a defamation lawsuit against her last July. The police decided not to prosecute Kim Se-yeol in February due to insufficient evidence. However, the prosecution accepted Tzuyang's appeal and requested the police to conduct supplementary investigations.
