Bae Jung-nam's dog, Bell, known as the 'miracle icon', has received a sudden cancer diagnosis.
On the 20th at 9 PM, the SBS entertainment program ‘My Little Old Boy’ will reveal the current situation of Bae Jung-nam's dog.
On that day, Bae Jung-nam, with a serious expression, visited the animal hospital and showed everyone a large lump that had suddenly appeared on Bell's side. The lump turned out to be a malignant tumor known as 'muscle cancer'. Bae Jung-nam expressed his fear, saying, “I’m scared it might metastasize,” as he observed the tumor growing larger day by day. The studio's 'Mother Avengers' also couldn't hide their concern for Bell, saying, “What should we do?” and “How did that happen?”
In 2022, Bell had to undergo multiple surgeries and rehabilitation due to acute cervical disc issues. Although he miraculously recovered his health, the veterinarian explained that he would need to go under the knife again after two and a half years to remove the suddenly formed malignant tumor. Bae Jung-nam was deeply troubled by the situation, having to choose between a full anesthesia surgery that could completely remove the tumor but would be a significant burden on the elderly dog, or a local anesthesia surgery that has a lower risk but a possibility of recurrence. In his distress, Bae Jung-nam even left the room. The choice he made for Bell will be revealed in the broadcast.
As Bell was taken to the operating room, Bae Jung-nam comforted him, saying, “You can do well,” but he couldn't bring himself to leave and stood alone for a long time. A tense atmosphere filled the studio as they anxiously watched Bell's surgery. As the surgery took longer than expected, Bae Jung-nam couldn't hide his anxiety. Attention is focused on whether Bae Jung-nam's dog Bell will safely complete the surgery and regain his health.
The heartbreaking story of Bell going under the knife again and Bae Jung-nam watching will be available on Sunday, April 20th at 9 PM on SBS ‘My Little Old Boy’.
