Comedian Lee Kyung-kyu candidly revealed the criteria for sending out invitations for his daughter Lee Ye-rim's wedding.
On the 24th, Lee Kyung-kyu appeared as a guest on KBS2’s ‘Problematic Children in the Rooftop Room’ (hereinafter ‘Okmunah’).
On this day, Lee Kyung-kyu mentioned his famous saying, “It’s scary when an ignorant person has convictions,” and said, “There are people with strange beliefs. Meeting them is really exhausting. I advise you to avoid such people.”
Regarding the worst type of person to associate with, Lee Kyung-kyu advised, “Honest people are the best. Those who cheat and lie are not good. Especially, you should avoid those who pretend.”
When Kim Sook asked Lee Kyung-kyu, “Have you ever been scammed?” he replied, “Many times. Surprisingly, I am very innocent.” The stunned ‘Okmunah’ members were left speechless. Hong Jin-kyung expressed her surprise, saying, “There’s no such silence.”
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-kyu mentioned his daughter Lee Ye-rim. He said, “Children are guests. I don’t nag them. I didn’t scold them while raising them.” He continued, “You should treat your children like you would treat a cow or a chicken. That’s the right way. Parents and children are different entities. They are different beings.”
When Kim Jong-kook said, “Even though your daughter set a wedding date, you didn’t ask anything,” Lee Kyung-kyu replied, “I didn’t get involved in my daughter’s wedding. Instead, I ran around to ensure the wedding would be a success.”
In response, Song Eun-yi asked, “Why didn’t you send invitations to all your juniors for your daughter’s wedding?” Lee Kyung-kyu explained, “I felt it would be burdensome. If I invite just a few strong ones, it will be worth it. Just one strong person.” This brought laughter.
None of the ‘Okmunah’ members received an invitation to Lee Kyung-kyu’s daughter’s wedding. Lee Kyung-kyu explained, “I invited people like Kang Ho-dong and Yoo Jae-suk, who are known for their spending.”
