Broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon was left speechless by the appearance of a husband who threatened suicide and assaulted his wife.

On the 24th, JTBC's ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’ depicted the household investigation of a frugal couple.

On this day, the husband of the frugal couple said, "My wife wants a divorce, but I applied for the ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’. I have made many mistakes, so I applied to change."

First, a video from the wife's side was revealed. The wife brought up her husband's debt issue, saying, "Didn’t you say you wanted to end the debt? But you got involved with loan sharks. Loan sharks are debts that cannot be resolved. I borrowed 700,000 won, and within a week, it became 1 million won."

The wife continued, "I really thought that was all there was. But there were many small debts: 13 million won from a bank loan, 2 million won from a second financial sector, 1.5 million won from a small bank, and 1 million won from loan sharks. I even knelt down. It was obvious that he wasn't being completely honest. Yet he still denied it. So I believed him, thinking it was true. But then two more debts came out." The husband explained, "I was sorry for making my wife suffer more, so I tried to solve it secretly."

Meanwhile, the wife revealed that her husband had threatened suicide. She said, "When the fights escalate, my husband goes to the kitchen and puts a knife to his neck. I can't approach him because I might get stabbed, so I beg him to put the knife down and talk. He says, 'Say you won't break up,' 'Say you won't divorce,' which was shocking."

Seo Jang-hoon, pausing the VCR, asked the husband, "Is threatening suicide a habit?" The husband replied, "It's not a habit. It was an expression of 'I'm struggling.'" Seo Jang-hoon then retorted, "If you're struggling, do you threaten to die? If you can't fix this habit, you might not be able to live like a human being."

Additionally, the husband lost control of his anger and yelled. He shouted, "Don't use the word divorce. To someone who is living hard." Seo Jang-hoon, witnessing this, said, "He seems possessed. The wife is speaking in a calm tone, but the husband looks like he's possessed." However, the wife commented, "(The husband) came out less intense than usual. It only seemed like his voice got louder. From the moment the camera turned on, the husband's eyes changed."

Moreover, the husband even resorted to violence against his wife. He admitted to committing violence on the day he applied for the ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’. The wife recounted, "(During a fight, the husband) hurled insults at me. Given my personality, I couldn't just stand by. The fight escalated, and the husband hit me, saying, 'Do you think it's funny because I always let you win?' I fell after that one hit. I begged him not to hit me, but he kept hitting me, saying, 'What, can't I hit you anymore?' The husband continued to be violent until the wife was about to vomit."

Seo Jang-hoon stated, "Divorce is not the issue. This is not a normal situation. I've seen many people lose their temper and yell at the ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’, but (the husband) is different from those people. Something is different." He then admonished the wife, who said she couldn't divorce for the sake of the child, saying, "What are you thinking? Does it make sense for the three of you to live together in that house? The saying that you are tying your own fate didn't come from nowhere."
