The film ‘Harbin’ has achieved sales in 117 countries worldwide, in addition to its success in South Korea.

Currently, ‘Harbin’ is experiencing explosive box office success in theaters as it depicts the intense pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a single purpose and those chasing them in 1909.

Having achieved global sales in 117 countries, including the U.S., Japan, France, Taiwan, Australia, and Spain, ‘Harbin’ will begin its release in the U.S. and Singapore on December 25, followed by an expanded release in the U.S. on January 3, Indonesia on January 1, Malaysia on January 2, and Australia/New Zealand on January 23, with Taiwan set to release on January 29. Other countries are expected to confirm their release schedules sequentially. This achievement is significant as it indicates that a historical subject unique to South Korea has been sold in 117 countries.

A representative from CJ ENM's overseas distribution stated, “The anticipation for director Woo Min-ho's new work and the participation of top actors like Hyun Bin seem to have attracted overseas buyers, especially as the film has been invited to prestigious international film festivals like the Toronto International Film Festival, which recognized its artistic value.”

‘Harbin’ has received enthusiastic recommendations among South Korean audiences, being described as “a must-see overwhelming thrill in theaters,” “heartwarming for T and tear-jerking for F,” and “perfect for family viewing at the beginning of the year.”

Since December 15, ‘Harbin’ has maintained the number one spot in advance ticket sales for 23 consecutive days and has been the overwhelming box office leader for 14 consecutive days, continuing its successful run.
