Actor In Gyo-jin is actively contributing warmth and cheerfulness to the KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Suspicious Woman' as he navigates conflicts with his in-laws.
In episodes 7 and 8 aired this week, Choi Min-seok (played by In Gyo-jin) mistakenly believes Janet (played by Kim Hae-sook) is his mother-in-law, and through a deal with Janet, who declares 'give and take,' he uncovers the secrets of his wife Ban Ji-sook (played by Seo Young-hee).
Min-seok expressed to Janet how hard he is trying to take on the role of the best husband, putting aside his pride. However, Janet retorted that he should handle his marital issues himself and questioned whether he would just stand by while Ji-sook's relationship deteriorated.
Min-seok hesitated, saying that a koala cannot intervene in a fight between a jungle lion and a Bengal tiger, but he quickly changed his stance, mimicking Ji-sook at Janet's suggestion regarding the rent debt. Min-seok joked that he has expertise in eavesdropping and wiretapping as a former communication soldier and shared that Ji-sook's attitude changed after she contacted a woman in her 60s. He then decided to secretly check Ji-sook's phone and found a clue about 'the hospital' through a message, shocking him with the revelation that Ji-sook's father, whom he thought was dead, is alive and in critical condition.
In Gyo-jin is taking responsibility for the healing aspect of the drama 'Suspicious Woman,' carefully observing the complex relationships between characters and viewing each character with a warm perspective. He portrays Choi Min-seok, who often finds himself in a difficult position living with his in-laws across three generations—mother-in-law, wife, and daughter—with a warm gaze and his unique playful acting, adding a new color to the drama as a likable son-in-law. Additionally, when giving sincere advice to Ji-sook to improve her relationship with Mal-soon, he changes his expression to showcase the charm of a serious 'adult man,' fully embodying the role of the 'peacekeeper' in the in-law household.
Meanwhile, KBS2's 'Suspicious Woman' airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 PM.
