Actor Song Joong-ki revealed his nickname for his wife Katie Louise Saunders and their recent updates, showcasing their affectionate couple bond.
On the 10th, Song Joong-ki appeared on SBS Radio Power FM's 'Park Ha-sun's Cine Town' to promote the movie "Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances." During the broadcast, he mentioned that he is currently communicating with his wife, who is in Italy, via video call, and they still display the affection of newlyweds, drawing attention.
He revealed that he saved his wife's name as 'YOBO' on his phone, explaining, "My wife thinks the Korean pronunciation of 'Yeobo' is really beautiful. So we decided to use it as our nickname." The use of a Korean word for their nickname added a special touch, especially considering their international couple background.
He continued, "Currently, my wife is staying in Italy, and I am in Korea due to my film shooting schedule. Although we have been busy since the birth, we consistently communicate through video calls and share our family life." He married Katie in 2023 and welcomed their first son that same year, and in November of the previous year, he became a father of two with the birth of their second daughter.
During the radio broadcast, Song Joong-ki's candid remarks not only showcased the couple's affection but also highlighted Katie's positive response and interest in the Korean language, drawing attention.
