The influencer and YouTuber Lee Hee-cheol (40), who passed away, will be laid to rest.
On the morning of the 10th, a funeral service for the late Lee Hee-cheol will be held at the funeral home of Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital. The burial site is Suwon City Crematorium.
The news of Lee Hee-cheol's passing was first announced by broadcaster Pungja. On the 7th, Pungja shared on her SNS, “My beloved brother Lee Hee-cheol from Seoul Salon has become a star in the sky today.”
Later, the late Lee Hee-cheol's brother revealed through a media outlet that the cause of death was a myocardial infarction. The brother conveyed the news of the deceased, saying, “Our brother, who was always full of energy and love, suddenly left for a long journey to the heavenly realm on the 7th due to unexpected pain. He always cherished and prioritized those around him as much as family, and although he appeared strong, he was more fragile than anyone. Please be with him so that his last journey is not lonely and is a bit more beautiful.”
The news of Lee Hee-cheol's death has drawn attention to his last post. On December 31 of last year, he opened up on his SNS, saying, “2024 has been an incredibly difficult year, to the point where I wondered if it was okay. In fact, it has been a really tough year for my health and my heart.”
He continued, “I know well that we learn and grow as much as we hurt, so I believe I will overcome this humbly and firmly, and I am willing to send it off with gratitude.” He added, “In the new year of 2025, I hope we can maintain a healthier and more flexible life and that it will be a year filled with gratitude in every moment.”
Fellow celebrities also expressed their condolences as they bid farewell to him. Actor Jung Il-woo said, “Our beautiful brother. How can you just leave like this? Just wait a little. Let’s meet again and chat. Thank you so much. Angel Lee Hee-cheol. Just rest a little.”
Broadcaster Park Seul-ki also expressed her sorrow, saying, “Hee-cheol, what is this? I really can’t believe it, and it’s so unfair that this nonsensical situation involves my friend. I really hate the reality that I have to accept right now. I’ll be there soon. I’ll make sure it’s warm on the way, so you won’t be in pain there.”
The late Lee Hee-cheol, who was originally a photographer, operated a famous wine bar called Seoul Salon in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. He also communicated with the public by appearing on the KBS2 entertainment program ‘The Men Who Live Together Season 2’ last year.
